If anything, It Will carry him ten votes. It smells like the tipycal CIA operation, but It could also be some hacking group like anonymous, smart at hacking but stupid at politics and propaganda
It's been confirmed as the work of the GRU.

THERE’S SOME NEWS for the alt-right activists in the United States behind a disinformation campaign aimed at getting Marine Le Pen elected president of France by spreading rumors about her opponent, Emmanuel Macron: The French do not much like having their intelligence insulted by Americans....
.......
Other researchers reported that the metadata of some documents revealed that they had been edited on computers using Russian-language characters.
That fueled widespread speculation that the hacked documents might have been stolen and released by Russian intelligence agents, to promote Le Pen,
............
“What I get from this clumsy initiative is that it reveals just how much these people think of us as imbeciles,” the blogger Jean-Marc Lafon wrote on Twitter. “You can’t love France and be convinced that the French people are fools,” he added. “You can be a patriot and have a brain.”

As Nicolas Vanderbiest, the Belgian researcher, noted, earlier this week Posobiec and a network of followers and bots were also responsible for spreading an obviously forged document that they insisted was evidence that Macron had evaded French taxes....

The USA had its tragedy when the primaries of Republicans and Democrats put forward two awful candidates. Now France has already had its tragedy, wit h a choice between two awful candidates. It's Le Pen with all the hard right, Vichy baggage, or Macron the euro-poodle who puts Europe first and France second. Poor France!

What's the point of hacking Macron's email right now? Presumably he's going to win by a huge margin.

James Comey's little stunt worked very well in the US just days before when everything was unacceptably tipping Clinton.

Let me help you out: on odds months it is fault of FBI, on pair months it's fault of Russians. On december and february it's fault of both FBI and Russians. Clinton never has any faults.
Democrats are angels and republicans are the devil. Got it.
LMAO

First of all, no one said Hillary didn't have any faults. Fact is, all candidates have faults. But to suggest that Hillary was or would've been the same evil as some demagogue with fascist tendencies and delusions of grandeur, running on a hate based ideology, is a bogus assed argument,

put forth either by leftist too self centered/focused on their "ideal candidate" to put the greater good of their COUNTRY first, or by Trump voters/apologists trying to rationalize in their own minds their endorsement of HIS particular brand of HATE. Bill Maher spoke of it here:

Bill Maher Shreds 'Liberal Purists' Who Said Hillary Clinton Was 'Lesser Of Two Evils' | HuffPost

The false equivalency of Hillary and Trump was also examined in this piece I posted some time ago.

The False Equivalence of Clinton and Trump’s Negatives

So NO, the U.S. parties didn't "put forward two awful candidates." They put forward the demagogue and the woman Republians and their hacker/allies SMEARED.

Second, no one here is suggesting the French are dumb. What we're HOPING is that they'll turn out to be far SMARTER than those American voters who were dumb ENOUGH to fall for a quite obviously DELIBERATE EFFORT to INFLUENCE THEIR . VOTE.

Hopefully the French will show more dignity, pride, and CLASS than to fall for that kind of shit.

We'll see.

I guess the French are smart enough to not believe that Russia has hacked Macron' email. That was the meaning of the article actually.

Doesn't matter if it's Russia, or alt-right American sources, or whatever. Bottom line, some outside interest is trying to swing the election the way THEY want it to go and hopefully THEIR voters (at least) won't allow themselves to be SUCKERED by it.

Or they're smart enough to rate the content, rather than method obtained.
The content is utterly boring for those who have read some of them. But even if there was some email revealing who knows what nasty secrets, about every french would think 'How do I know it is authentic'? The sole French believing they were authentic would those who already wouldn't want for Macron.

It is actually more likely that any leaking with this timing will carry votes to Macron, not Le Pen.

Agree on this. I would bet they will not be influenced since I think to know enough French people. In the end, French are Italians with a bad mood (Jean Cocteau). ;)

We can only hope the French aren't as easily duped and bamboozled as their American counterparts though we know how easy it is to harness the darker side of humanity for electoral gains.

Moscow’s interest in the election is not hard to understand. France has been a pillar of the European Union, an important member of NATO and pivotal on maintaining sanctions on Russia. Of the four leading candidates, three would seek closer ties to Russia: Marine Le Pen, leader of the far-right National Front, who has received millions in loans from Russian banks and traveled to Moscow last month for a meeting with President Vladimir Putin;

Meddling in the French Election

Yeah it is.

No. Even if the structure of the sentence was not 100% grammatically correct it does not follow I was referring to India.

Yes... aware of her anti NATO, pro Russia stance, and her ties to the latter, as well as her efforts to distance herself and her positions (i.e. soften the "look") from the (more) bigoted ideas of the party to which she belongs (and only momentarily, recently stepped away from).

I'm not here trying to tell the French what to think of her. But I personally think she's a wolf in sheep's clothing, ideologically speaking. Gloves would be off after she wins, I'd bet.
