Just interested if anyone here has this condition. I have it and am shortly going to see a specialist about it.

Would like to know from anyone who had it, what you did about it and how happy were you with the result. Did you get the frenulum removed and keep your foreskin or did you go for a full circumcision?

I'm not sure what to do, whether to start with just having the frenulum removed and see how it goes or whether to get cut.

Any advice would be welcome.

It certainly is an uncomfortable problem for you, however I would say why go for a full circumcision when having the frenulum dealt with may be all that is needed. If that doesnt do the job then go back and have the circ. There is another op know as a FRENULOPLASTY, which sounds a far better option for you details of this proceedure can be found here:

Penis frenuloplasty, frenulum breve, pictures

This is a far simpler and straightforward proceedure causing no damage to the sensitive nerves it that area. Keep us posted on how it all works out for you

Good Luck

dude see what the specalist says, smart talk has shown another opition, if you do want to have a circumision it will depend if he/she agrees that would be the best course of treatment.do you have any other problems with your foreskin?

It is not what the doctor agrees to as the best course of treatment, it is UKboy's decision based on all the information that he can get. This could include more than one doctor's opinion. I can't see why this type of issue would necessitate a full circumcision.

Of course it's his decision (UKboy's). The best practise over here in the UK is to give all the infomation on all opitions and suggest what would be suitable for the his needs and well being. If he consents to the treatment fine if not see a different doctor. Just as I would for my Stop Smoking cilents I would give them the pros and cons for all treatments.

i think i have this in an extremely mild case, to the point where it doesn't negatively affect me. However, that part is extremely sensitive and if i rub it i can get myself off very fast

i wouldnt say you needed a full circumcision. If they cant use topical treatments to help stretch the skin, then they can probably cut the frenulum and loosen it. While it may make your foreskin looser, youll still have it which is more some people can say :) i wish you best of luck with your decisions
