Gold membership should be instantly upgraded after you pay (at most 2 to 3 minutes). If it isn't please contact us (either here, support forum or direct message) and we will sort it out for you. Sometimes it doesn't upgrade automatically and we have to manually upgrade you.

- I Tried to Upgrade to Gold Membership but I'm getting a 690 Membership Exists Error?
Hi. This means you may already have an active Gold Membership. Contact us and we will look into the situation for you.

- Someone posted content of me without my permission. What can I do?

The most common reason videos don't work is if you click "Most Liked Posts" first. Right now this is a known bug that we are trying to correct.

- Am I allowed to post asking someone to Bait or Cat Fish someone for me?
No. Baiting and cat fishing is against our terms. We don't want to encourage that behavior.

- What content am I allowed to post?
You should only post content you are the owner of or content you've received permission from the owner to post.

How do you delete uploaded photos

If the photo is in an album, go to the album and click on the photo you want to delete. At the top you should see ‘edit’, click on that that and choose ‘delete’.

If the photo is in a group, the group owner has to delete the photo. If the group owner is no longer active, you will have to message @Mr. LPSG.

If the photo is in a post, and you are outside the editing window, click ‘report’ and one of the mods will be happy to delete the photo for you.

I think that covers it all.

If you’re referring to what I think you’re referring to:
Gold = gold member
Silver = platinum (paid member)
Green = verified member
Red = awaiting email confirmation
Dark green = staff member
Blue = moderator

If you’re on a phone, they appear as boxes, while on a full screen, they appear as banners under your avatar with the text on them.

Hi,

The post you are replying to is 4 years old. We have done a lot to the site since then. If you want to remove one of your own posts, you can now use the report button and select the 'my own post' option. There are some conditions, but we are pretty reasonable about it (see below).


LPSG is a discussion board. The architecture of sites like us functions somewhat differently than more contemporary social platforms. Regarding this: One of these differences is that what is posted or written on the site is treated a lot more like an archive. We have a rule resulting from this that posts or threads that have replies to them do not qualify for deletion unless there is an extenuating circumstance. The reason for this is because other members who participate in the discussion have their discussions affected by this because everything that comes after a removed post in a reply chain also has to be pruned out, and it's not fair to the other members. There is a small time limit to go back and edit something however, and a longer one for Gold members.



I agree, and we'll be looking at the best function for this coming up.



We have been talking about this for a while. It can be complicated. There are a few technical limitations like there not being a notification class for replies as opposed to one for anything in the whole thread. The other is creating a UI that makes sense. When we looked at this before, the consensus was that it should NOT look like reddit, with it's long lines, and indented branches.

I like your idea that a bit of a mini-sort tool to at least organize reply chains into one single branch could be a great thing. Consider again through, that replies to replies that branch out from the main one could make this exceptionally hard to create.

They all sound like simple no-brainers, but there is actually a lot of complexity that informs these things, as well as some fundamental and pretty tectonic ways the site functions which give us limitations we have to live with.

Simon, you are very good at your job. I came onto this thread very heated and kind of aggressive and I apologize for that. I truly didn't understand the scope of what you guys do and how many tiny decisions affect the entire layout of the website. I really do love the site and I hope I didn't come off too negatively. And thinking about it like an archive made it click in my researcher's brain that it was preserving a moment in time where that post was felt and responded to. Everything you said in your response made sense and I sadly have to admit that I am a reddit boy and that may have factored into some of my thoughts about the layout. But thank you for responding in such a nice and informative way to my clear ignorance haha. That is great customer service and just people skills in general.

I am a little confused kn the copyright infringement rule on this group tbh. Since people are posting copyright content.

There is a lot of rule breaking content posted on this site - not just copyrighted material. But no mods or admins have Minority Report skills - there’s no way to prevent future crimes from happening.

Even word filters are mostly ineffective. For example, mentioning Telegram is against the rules. But do you know how many ways we see members try to get around this rule? It’s pretty funny seeing how many ways people think they’re fooling the ‘filter’. Well, here’s a secret - there’s no filter. Other members are doing the reporting. Saying, “the group that must not be named” still means Telegram to the reporting member and the mod.

The telegram rule is a fairly innocuous rule. It’s in place to protect members from getting scammed. Every rule has a reason for its existence. There are other rules far more critical to the operation of this site that could affect operation. But regardless of the existing rules, the site relies on reporting. Reporting actually keeps the site running. If nothing got reported, the site would cease to exist.

Tl;dr. It’s impossible for every post to be pre approved and every photo checked for copyright before posting. That’s why you see stuff that breaks the rules. So report.

While this is a historical rule, it also supports our SFW mode feature that allows people to view the site without pictures or videos.

The setting for this is two-tiered in that people can view the site in SFW mode with avatars, which make conversations in threads reasonably easier to follow, or they can turn those off as well and have a mostly-text driven experience. I would not want to take avatars out of the Gold experience, so they'll stay SFW.

SFW mode is also a Gold feature, so people using it would not be seeing banners anyway.

Plus, like @LaFemme said, it allows people who use the forum to converse instead of looking at porn first an opportunity to do so without a lot of gonzo content popping up from the sidelines. We're more than just porn.

So i go to the front page and click on 'What's on your mind" and it gives the option to insert an album or insert a pic/vid but no matter what I do, nothing happens when I click those.
