"Friends with benefits"? So that's what it's called. The French do have a word for it, but then they would.

Actually it can work. At university, my closest friend was a girl and we still love each other, but there was no passion, we were just friends and sometimes we had sex.

Thirty years later, we are still 'thick as thieves' and think it all worked out just fine.

I would bet that it was a strong possibility for at least one of the women. One in particular, I firmly (hehe) believe, got into the fuck buddy situation with me with a large crush on me. I made it very clear that there wasn&#39;t a possibilty of something more. She had never had a "friends with benefits" relationship, it ended when she began dating someone. She was/is a believer that she should only have one sexual partner at a time (insert obvious jokes here), a belief I don&#39;t subscribe to (unless a commited relationship). When dating, seeing someone, hanging out, whatever you call it, I feel that parties involved are free to see/sleep with whomever they choose.

Some gay men would be the same way, no? Take the fuck buddy situation, because that&#39;s what was offered, the whole time wanting something more...

It seems like men are alot more able to handle an arrangment like this then women. Most women don&#39;t care for the whole idea of having a "buddy to have sex with" usaully because they rather sex be saved for "relationship" type setting.

Men on the other hand are a different breed......lol

So true...A lot of men can separate sex w/o feelings (I know I can)...So it would seem there would be a better chance of finding 2 men who could handle it w/o strings attached...
