Only people on my friend's list can read my blog or see my albums, so I am selective about my friend's list. It's meaningful to me. My friend's list provides certain people more access to my private life.

I regularly go through my friend's list and if I don't recognize a name because we don't interact enough on the forums, in chat, or through PMs for me to recognize your name, I'll probably unfriend you. It's not personal, we just aren't interacting enough here for me to leave you on my friend's list.

I do exactly the same.I don't expect a full on confab with people on my friends list everyday but a little chat doesnt go amiss.

Yeah that was a joke I'm not sending any creepy PM's. And I've left I'm sre my fair share of comments on the gay guys stuff. But heck if I clicked on a girls stuff and she was naked I'd leave a comment there too. :tongue:

Everyone has different criteria for accepting LPSG 'friends'. In real life I don't know you, you don't know me, and I hope it stays that way because I am actually very timid. Most of the people who I am most acquainted with here are not on my list because they have never asked to be. And very rarely do I ask them to be on my list mainly because they might say no!

When strangers ask to be my 'friend' I go to their profile and gallery and look up their most recent posts to see what they are like. Usually I give them the benefit of the doubt and accept because I want my profile to be looked at by people who might seriously enjoy reading my posts or reading my edited ebooks or calling my advice line. Amazing how very few those like-minded are, but they've gotta be out there someplace. The Yoda-Yaddle icon will maybe catch a sympathetic eye.

I take my friendships seriously. I usually had PM and chatted with the person, and then ask if I can send a request. Then I do try to touch base and check on then every so often. Someday I do hope to meet some of them in person. It would mean a lot to me.
