All my life growing up in a city in NJ with a large backyard I never saw a frog. In the last 3 weeks in Florida I've seen 3 in 3 different towns. Two were large about the size of a closed fist and the other was about the length of an index finger.

At Dania Beach I also saw some pretty green birds that were parrot like in features.

Every pond will likely have an alligator. Or 2. Of course, the more gators you see, the less frogs there will be. It works that way.

Wait until you see the other treasures in Florida...the lizards, palmetto bugs and snakes! Welcome!!!

I've never seen a snake either. Once at a dance club I did, but it was a pet, it was an albino snake and I petted it.

The tiny little lizard that climb the walls are very cute.

Thanks for the welcome.

Gators might as well be dinosaurs as far as I am concerned. I live not too far from some canals. I hope I never see a wild gator, actually I wouldn't mind seeing one from my car and far from my home.
