It's because Mexicans are all colors, but mostly brown and white. There is a large Mexican population that is white, so saying he doesn't look Mexican is rather ignorant.

I think we should just acknowledge people are entitled to their feelings.

This reminded me of a scene in the audiobook I listened to where Froy played a Puerto Rican kid whose boyfriend tells him he doesn't look it, and he feels gut punched. (What If It's Us) It's something many people can identify with who are of mixed race (or not) or even some ethnicities. It's happened to me and if it hasn't happened to you maybe you don't know how it feels.

Tyler Posey is another actor from Teen Wolf who's half-Mexican. Froy and Tyler don't look alike, right?
