yes but some thinkings are better than others surely?
it's at times like this that i wonder whether i was wise to do an arts degree in the first place...
I think it depends on the person how much you are immeresed into the subject.
For art degree, I think trying is the first step to find out. I tried lots of things too.

[FONT=&quot]I feel that this highlights the difference between the artist and the scientist. The arts are all very well for people like me but they don’t teach you anything practical. When studying literature (I can’t speak for the other arts) you spend all your time trying to put yourself in another person’s shoes and see the world from their perspective. In your situation I would have fallen at the first hurdle (i.e. worrying that my gf didn’t like having a cucumber inserted into her) and failed to see the bigger picture. I think I can honestly say that it would never have occurred to me that the temperature of the cucumber was the key to solving the problem.[/FONT]
