So a while back I responded to a thread earmarked for Bisexuals and had my posts deleted by the LPSG administration because they decided I wasn't bisexual. I was even suspended for a month because I participated in a discussion and had no way to appeal this decision nor question it.

Now today, my posts in a thread for Straight members were deleted because the LPSG administration have deemed that I'm not Straight either. This is absolutely ridiculous and frustrating. I spend a substantive amount of time considering the thread's concerns, being sensitive to the OP's perspective and most notably spend time to formulate an intelligent and compassionate response. And to have that tossed aside in what I consider to be a meritless and ill-perceived decision is really very frustrating and hurtful.

Is this censuring of its members really a positive and appropriate action by an administration that should be attentive to its responsibilities? Is this fostering inclusivity or segregation? Are these actions reinforcing the facile notion of sexuality as black & white and not incredibly nuanced as we all know it to be? It not only stifles meaningful interaction but belittles the enormous quantity of knowledge and life experience each of us has accrued and values.

It's really disappointing if that is the case. I always appreciate seeing multiple perspectives on any subject. And considering I feel that bi guys anywhere on the spectrum already deal with some of he harshest criticisms from all sides, you would think that perspective would be more welcome.
Unless a thread is intentionally hateful, abusive, or extremely off-topic and belongs somewhere else, I don't see why it should be removed in the first place.

I had pretty much the same thing happen to me on here, all I got from a Moderator is that I only moderate stuff that gets reported to me, so I guess If you piss someone off they will report your post and it will be reviewed by an moderator and if you question any of them, 30 days in the hole. Anyway just my feelings, it's not always fair, or concise.

Part of the issue, isn't that they choose to single you out. People can be deceptive in how they choose their orientation, to bend the rules to suit them. Not saying this is the case with you. Ask Rob directly; there really wasn't anything supportive to be an action counted against you the first time.. unless you tampered with the percentages.

This is what the lpsg.com rules say about the "Ask A" forums :
  1. Ask a *Someone* Forum Rules - In Addition to the above
    • Any member may start a thread, in any section of the forum
    • Any member may reply to their own thread started within any section of the forum
    • Aside from the the member who started the thread, only members who fall within the group named in the section title may respond to threads.
    • For the purposes of these sections, we consider bisexual to be 20/80 gay/straight or straight/gay.

Chances are someone reported you because they didn't like your response (or you personally) and then admin took action. It's clear that threads are not policed closely as members violate rules frequently and their posts are not removed.

Remove your sexual orientation percentage if you want to participate in threads limited by it.

My percentage was 80/20 [straight/gay] when I posted in the Bisexual threads. And it seems odd and inconsistent that there are people who don't fit the guidelines that remain in the thread.

That's what I think as well. It comes as no surprise that the most well-considered and attentive responses are the ones that are deleted. It's odd and suspicious that others who don't fit within the guidelines in terms of their percentage haven't had their posts removed.

I've thought about the percentage thing and "working" it but It feels sad to work loopholes to be able to help others.

This belongs in the suggestions/announcement section.

The rules have been the same since I joined. The Ask Someone section rules have always been the same. The guidelines are right there in the ToS.

I dunno. It seems reasonable to me. There are separate sections for a reason, and the rules are clear and easy to find.

Yeah the forum rules can kinda suck....but like most rules.... they are putin place for a reason....and like most rules while correcting one problem ..they cause another...(hopefully a smaller one)

Example.....ask a straight guy....if you didn't have stipulation....any question you would ask in there would be over run with bin and gay guys.....mainly cause they outnumber everyone on site

And in get it....often I'm the ask a (that I'm Not a part of)......i want to answer so bad.....I'm like that eager kid in the 4 th grade with his hand up......oooo oooo I know this!!!!

However I'm sure a lot of people feel this way.....and want to be heard....without the rules....turn ask a section would be over run....(much like women issues often is)

BUT....NOW COMES THE BUT

While the situation you discover seems a bit unfair...

Appeal proceeds....very fustrating and hurt

Dude its an entertainment site....a kinda silly fun one at that....have a bit of fun...

If fact Alteredego has many times said....porn is not real life....

Well internet forum aren't ether.....

I have been insulted so many times here....by people who would never say that in real life....I have had conversations with people who wouldn't give me the time of day in real life....I've listened to advice from people I would never seek the opinions of in life

Also....I rarely let people in real life affect my happiness....I never ever would let internet stranger do that

So the idea if being hurt, offended or troubled by a online stranger is silly....being hurt offended or troubled by a admin decision.....well that's super silly (since is just kind impersonal.....I mean the admin on a entertainment site is not really about seeking truth justice and equity.... but more about keeping the wheels moving)

Soooo my advice....follow rules...enjoy site ....if ya get suspended....or offended....find a different to entertain youself....or go back and forth.....

I think they should just move to:

Ask a Man
Ask a Woman
Ask a Transgender Person
Ask Everyone.

No more sexuality percentages. You do sometimes very ignorant questions being put into place on the sexuality based sub forums that have exceptionally disgusting language that does not get called out on enough:

https://www.lpsg.com/threads/100-percent-straights-why-are-you-here.496056/

"It is a battle as nearly every thread has Gay or homoerotic overtones. Cock lovers rule here. I am not a wowser, I just want some balance, more normal men, yes I mean normal not the Inverted crowd, and also more women. Some men here think it is a gay dating site."

I think they generally lead to more division, increase the chances of trolling threads etc. I think it would be more harmonious to have the division the way I stated.

Thank you for that and I appreciate your perspective...it's just frustrating when you put a lot of energy and time into helping someone and composing a coherent and insightful response and someone deletes it because of some random percentage listing. And even more frustrating when I was actually suspended for a month! My question remains...what am I, then? Straight? Bi? I've been censured in both cases. I certainly never expected to be policed by the administration of a cock site to make that decision for me. But there you have it nonetheless. Thanks again.

I agree with you. And also, if you were to go into the threads you would see others that haven't been deleted which makes one feel targeted.
I mean, we've all seen that one person's 10% gay or even 1% gay would make your hair curl it's so full on gay. I regularly get 100% guys just pining like feral cats to have me fuck them. I have no problem accommodating but I can't take it serious on the site as a way to censure people.

My suggestion would be to keep all the ask's, but make it open to everyone, just like they do in women's issues.
It would be an easy way to increase discussions and debates.
