FT.com / Columnists / Philip Stephens - A fearful Europe trails petulantly in US wake
I can't open it without registering, which I can't be bothered to do.
What was the article postulating?
Well, mainly discussing how the United States was criticized by France and European media, and Venezuela, for "occupying" haiti, and how it illustrares a disparity between how the US is expected to act, and how it is criticized when it acts...in the context of being the world's policeman.
Fixed the OP's link to remove registration requirement.
Much appreciated HG
Edit:-well it worked initially anyway
Boring stuff as usual.

French Ministers have a knack of enflaming situations. I guess they just get bored with being irrelevant.
Thanks for the summery D. It sounds much as I expected from the thread title, so I don't think I'll bother with this one.
