i agree.. i also dont believe in a lot of what he says... but im sure if you dig around on anyone you would find something... i bet obama has even racially spoke about whites or mexicans or something... little issues like that are important morally but it isnt going to affect what he does in office... we need a libertarian..!! we need to curb inflation and end big socialized gov't... national health care would be the end of america if we dont revamp the healthcare system first and if we dont cut spending..
Please tell me you are not that naive. Those "little issues" have a much more profound impact than the "bigger" political issues, when it comes to the president.
This is what really scares me about the lack of political savvy in the general population. The president has almost no authority when it comes to legislation, social programs, and the general administration of day-to-day government function - basically all he can do is give a "seal of approval" by signing a bill, or withhold his official approval by veto or by not signing (even at that, his veto can be overridden.)
Where the president has real power is in his appointments. Supreme court, US attorneys, cabinet, agency chiefs, inspectors general, on down the line. And in every one of his appointments, a president is going to reflect his own moral bias.
I don't know about you, but I certainly don't want those kinds of appointments being made by someone who doesn't like queers, negroes, or jews. We have seen, first-hand, what happens when they are being made by an ignorant, spoiled fundy.
