My Wild Turkey stuffing went over big. Anybody know what to do with a bag of stuffing?

me Poppa makes stuffing pancakes for breakfast the next morning.
ya kinda form the stuffing into a patty, skizzle it in a lil butter.

served with eggs and whatever else my Dad throws on the plate.

is good eating, Mr. Hickboy

That twinge in your intestines
Thank ya, Ms. Mickey. This smoked turkey was the best I've ever made. Tasty, and juicy like a good steak without the marbling. I made the brine with apple juice instead of brown sugar. Yummity yummmm. Lovely meal. Now I am having trouble staying awake.

Morrrrrrrrre piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie...

Roasted turkey, giblet stuffing, as well as sausage and sage stuffing on the side, mashed taters, my gravy, sautéed string beans w/cracked pepper and almond slivers, crispy green salad, fruit salad w/walnuts and whipped cream, crescent wheat rolls, pumpkin pie, blackberry pie, French vanilla ice cream, and pumpkin ice cream.

Ms Sprinkles, your menu sounds the most appetising to this Australian! I have to admit I prefer my vegetables reasonably unadulterated.

A few questions to the Thanksgivers: Can someone please explain the principle behind green bean casseroles, and why so many people hate it?

And also - there seems to be a lot of sugar involved in the main meal. Just reading those recipes for cranberry sauce made my teeth hurt! And sweet potatoes with marshmallows - by all that's holy, WHY?

VT, I'm feeling your feelings!!!!

You must have to be American to understand Thanksgiving foods.

For the green bean casserole thing, see my post and those following in this thread.

The sugar levels are optional. I cook for diabetics and we mix our cranberries with apples instead of sugar. We roast the yams plain. The pies have Splenda, a sugar substitute.

The leftovers last and last. And Hickboy, you put the dressing in a loaf pan and slice it up cold. If only I had your problem!
