aliuel, it does seem amazing by today's standards (though I would submit that our standards toward pubic hair are becoming more liberal and vaginas are becoming hairier,) that a woman could get away with a 'treasure trail,' but one thing I heard (granted, second-hand) from a woman who was in her 20's in the 1970's is that back then it was almost frowned upon if as a woman you didn't have ample pubic hair. This was from a mom of a friend of mine and she claimed to have always been naturally un-hairy. Anyhow, apparently other women in the locker room at her school or health club would say, "Where's your hair?" So it was almost a status symbol - a banner of womanhood - in her recollection, to have a big bush. In the nineties and early 2000's of course you had this backlash where women thought they were saints for taking their au natural friend to the waxers for the first time. So while I would not like naturally non-hairy women to be subjugated (like my friend's mom was in the 70's), I certainly would dig it if it became the norm or the ideal for women to have big triangles of bush again.
