I took my significant other down to meet my parents and extended family this past weekend and it was a lot of fun. My grandmother, who is all of 82, was delighted in meeting my new girl. She remarked that my girl was young - yes, she is about 10 years younger than I. My grandmother went on to say in a whisper, "It's good that you've got you a younger one; she'll be easier to train." Of course, I giggled, not really knowing wtf she was talking about. I'd appreciate it if anyone who understands that generation could enlighten me as to what Nana meant by that.
.....or maybe she meant for the rest of the family to take turns on her. Got to be young and strong to pull a train!
I don't think it was sex-related. It sounds a lot more like describing the relationship my parents had...before they broke up. My dad was a domineering SOB.
Haha. No I actually do wish she meant the kinky definition of "train". But my grandparents were quite old fashioned so I don't know if he's got modern, open-minded grandparents.
almost 100% she meant "train into a good houswife", if shes over 70, thats just the way the world used to work
