christinab - I know breast size is irrevelant but I was just trying to explain myself physically. just sometimes this site makes me have a complex the way men (and sometimes women) talk about body type in women. I feel the same way that if I told people my weight / height that they would be too quick to judge and not factor in other things too. You sure don't look like a big woman to me at all - in fact you look goregous ! :)

*blushes* thank you.

I am not a professor of anthropometrics, but I do think women always assume a guy has acertain defined penchant for a particular shape and size. A small percentage do; often fetishits of one description or another. I use subconscious descriptions such as petite, statuesque, and yes "heffty" can be attractive. It is not just the body; it is the overall package. If you are slightly overweight for your height and bonestructure but are attactive in other respects it all evens out. Size and curvature are never a turn off, but women acting like princesses are a bore, even to real princes believe me.

Interestingly enough, I am 5 10 and weigh 165 pounds, and have been told numerous times by lpsg members that my body type is heavy set??? WTF??? I am a size 9-10, I never knew that would be deemed as heavy set given my height....I tend to see myself as curvy, but then someone pointed out that because my belly isn't super duper flat, the term curvy doesn't apply:mad::mad:??????:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Hahhahaha...nobody has a super duper flat belly...NOBODY!!! When standing at ease everyone has a paunch.... or pooch as I like to call mine. And you have on hell of a fine body lady.... let no one tell you different.

I think that given the fact that you're Italian, that makes you instantly "curvy". Boys don't understand the rules of women. They don't even know what size 9-10 is and to them, 165lbs is a frightening number! They prefer 120lbs .

If your belly was super-duper flat, you'd have under 10% body fat or your pictures would all be airbrushed, like those of the "curvy" models. It's a bit funny, because the same crowd of people insist that I'm thin, but I'm the same weight/size as you are but only barely 5'8". Talk about inconsistencies.

To agirlonfire, I tried, and I can't think of just one single word that you could use on dating sites so that everyone would know your exact body type. The closest I could come is the portuguese word "gostosa" which I think means something like "bodacious" :p
However, this probably won't help because people won't be familiar with it.

In fact I would probably need 1000 words to fully and accurately describe your body type. Can't you just post a picture on the dating site?

I don't know that the body type classification really matters to much. That has never stopped me from contacting someone that I thought might be a nice person. Its more in the profile and what is written that attracts me. I usually contact the girls without pictures anyway, it lets you get to know the person a little better without the positive/negative reaction to looks. Thats just the way I see things though, I'm sure others have their way of judging, so take my opinion for what it's worth.

Ed

Well Ed, you are a very sweet guy!

People think I'm chubby because I'm so heavy on top. I'm 5'6" and weigh, well, you'll never know. Not even Cap knows how much I weigh! I zero the scale every time I get on it. Anyway, I can squeeze into a 10, and I am what you would call curvy. My first husband said if I were six inches taller I could be a blond Jessica Rabbit. Well, that was then, and I'd kill for that waistline again.

I go to the gym religiously, sometimes five times a week. I lost one cup size within the last two months, so I'm back comfortably in DD, and I've got my eye on the size 8 jeans that have been hanging in the closet for years and cost a fortune. So I guess they're my goal.

I have to admit that before I remarried I really ballooned up, and that was the hardest 20 lbs to shed.

I do have a winter figure and a summer figure, and now that the swimsuits are packed away I just know that I'll lose my tone. I'm approaching the dreaded 4-0 and I'm so afraid that my metabolism is just going to shut down. Right now I don't have to watch what I eat so much because I know I can take care of it easily.

Cap's in his mid-forties (sorry, Darling, if I let the cat out of the bag) and he's still very trim. He doesn't even go to the gym as much as I do, and it kills me to hear him say that he's planning to lose 5 lbs this week! And then he does it! Life is not fair.

P.S. The avatar was taken about 10 years ago when I was fighting that extra 20.

I saw this list of the 10 Hottest Fat Celebrities. It's pretty appalling.
The Ten Hottest Fat Celebrities

I had never seen SuperCrayon's pictures, you are really beautiful!

Diamond, your pictures are fantastic too..youre a very sexy woman, I dont know what I'd call you..curvy? not fat...certainly not "heavy set".

Crissymgreen you and I have very very similar bodies. I also call myself "average". My problem has always been the waist to hip ratio. I do have basically the same size breasts as you (curvy) but I'm a little more athletic straight up and down with slight curves so I can't really say "curvy".

I dont know..its all subjective anyway. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

that is so the truth!

i like your body seaside, and i think you look nice & fit. i'm not as athletic even if i do swim twice a week; i'll always be a little on the plump side. i do consider myself lucky to have a 12 inch difference between my waist & hips.

Thick as defined in the Urban Dictionary.

"A woman with a perfect body, filled-in in places that are, by nature, designed to attract the opposite sex, such as the thighs, the hips, the breasts, and the most lovely part of all, the booty."

This is good!

damn right it's good...and sexy!! every man should experience a woman that's thick..

You cannot define body type. Size is relative and you will always be considered thick compared to some women and thin compared to other women. As long as you are happy that is all that matters.

Sorry I mean no offense with this question, but I have always been curious. Westerners, Americans in particular, seem very insecure compared to Israelis. I meet these beautiful, intelligent, and kind people in New York all the time who are still very insecure and unhappy with themselves.

I blame advertising. We are bombarded with these images which are computer-enhanced to maske us desire to be like impossible ideals so that we consume more of the products to change ourselves to fit the trends.
