Yup it is. A lot of closets and curious. Women buy it because the guys usually look better and curiosity. Gay and Bi guys use it. And curious straights, and the closeted buy it.

I used to frequent the AVN events around the country when I was affiliated with the industry in a behind the scenes capacity in the 90's when porn was in it's heyday. Even if someone rented or bought a gay film once. Viewed it, was repulsed by it and never did again. It still counted as a sale. And the that's where the figures came from. Today it's all free for the most part so I don't know what the figures would be currently. Probably similar. Gay performers also made more money than straight male performers. Some straights crossed over to make that extra money. It was called "Gay For Pay".

Pornhub does too. According to their own stats str8 porn gets roughly 4 or 5 times the hits as gay porn. The str8 porn side of the site is dramatically larger as well. I do not think gay porn has out drawn str8 porn - although it has grown in popularity certainly.
