Baker, a Democrat, was asked by the Republican Governor Sonny Perdue to pursue a lawsuit to overturn the recently passed health care reform law. Baker did so, reviewing the state's Constitution and the merits of the suit, and declined to pursue, arguing above all that there are no merits for the suit and that it would waste a lot of taxpayer money.
The response?
Not only did state legislators fail twice to force Baker's hand, now they're trying to vote to impeach the guy. Seriously.
