Gallery Pic Recycling

I haven't been on this site too long and am rather new to pic posting on the web in general. I'm wondering, Is there any etiquette for reclycling your pics on the gallery?

I notice sometimes folks delete an old pic and post it again. This gets it to the top of the gallery. I suppose the logic is it keeps your pic in people's faces, and if a pic didn't get a good view count or commentary the first time around, it gets another chance. (From an audience perspective, though, it's like penis deja vu.)

Any feeling about this?

People are free to upload and delete their pics as they please. Why read something into it that is individual and personal to each member and, therefore, difficult to generalize?
