I'm gonna stop reading now. I get more frustration and anger than enjoyment from reading these stupid books...

If I wanted stories about people being cruel to other people all the time, I'd just watch the news.

Aside from the obvious characters, I have a fondness for Sam. Pudgy, true-hearted men finding bravery deep inside? If (when) he dies, I will be inconsolable.
I like Sam too . I remember his first scene . He was so frightened having to try to defend himself. I knew Jon Snow would come to his rescue. Of course I liked Jon for obvious reasons amongst all those disgusting looking men . I would love to defend the wall with Jon . I also like Mother of dragons Khaleesi . I couldn't stand Joffrey (who did) . He played the part well . He had an odd look to him which made him even better..

I've never even watched 5 seconds of this show. Am I missing out? I don't feel that I am.

Dude totally missing out. This is a show of action and adventure; and just as things slow down they throw in some random nudity

I hope that I'm not "kicking a dead horse" with this, but, is Jon Snow really dead?... It still depends on who you talk to or read.

Game of Thrones showrunner Dan Weiss told Entertainment Weekly, “Dead is dead.”

“Oh, you think he’s dead, do you?”, author George R.R. Martin teased... “If there’s one thing we know in A Song of Ice and Fire is that death is not necessarily permanent.”

It is sad when you have read all of the books and then watch the show. The moments everyone are shocked about you have already read. The next season is going to be new though, since this season ended the same way as book five. Hopefully I will get another book to read before I die of old age :) I have to say that I am starting to like Cersei in the books. Not in the show. It interests me how her being a woman has made her have to use every horrible thing she could think of to retain power. If only she had been born male. If you have not seen them, I recommend watching Gay of Thrones on Funny or Die. So funny, and a pretty good recap :)

This is why I think they didn't do the LS storyline in the show. Because it would feel too cheap and cheesy within the confines of a show to do the same thing twice. I think Melisandre being back at Castle Black isn't an accident. We've already seen the potential for it with Beric Dondarrion in both the books and the show and with LS in the books, so I think that's the route they're going to take. And I think saying "dead is dead" is a technicality they're playing on, to be honest. Like yeahhhh, but...

So it's not like Spartacus: Blood and Sand, which to me seemed like soft porn with some fight scenes thrown in?
