Awww, shucks! Well, I haven't got a problem if people look either! I've finally got enough muscle on my body that I'm not ashamed of how I appear. Maybe that's part of the appeal of the gang shower-I can hold my own, or at least feel like it, and not feel inadequate in any way. I do appreciate that some people prefer modesty, and it's an individual preference. My gym is open showers anyway, although I typically work out at home.

open showers: my policy is "nothing to hide." if you don't wanna see naked people, don't go to the gym... btw, gymnasium is a greek word meaning "place of nakedness" — gymnos = naked. i've always thought modesty was overrated... and kind of a feminine virtue anyway.

Gang showers definitely! I remember high school had those shower towers that must have had 5 or 6 shower heads in a circle around the top so you had a direct view of everyone.

Definitely gang. The fairly new gym I belong to in a small NY upstate town has two curtained stall showers, each with a curtained changing room. AND a couple of months agao a notice appeared on the locker room bulletin board asking men to try to remain covered at all times! I almot shit, and added a note to the effect: "OMG, a naked man in the men's locker room. Run for your lives!" The notice disappeared, and I go naked as much as I can get away with.

A shower is a shower. I use it to get clean. However, the individual showers are so small that at times its hard to get around. Gang showers are open and I don't feel so closed in---plus the scenery can be nice (at times).
