I’ve followed Madden closely for years and I am
100% certain he is not straight (could be gay, could be bi, that I don’t know for certain). He did date women until 2018, which is why some are reluctant to believe that he bats for the other team.

Just go to the Richard Madden or Froy Gutierrez threads here and there’s plenty of evidence. The two of them have been inseparable for going on two years now. They lived together in LA during quarantine, then moved to London together. Then Froy came home to Dallas to film Cruel Summer and Richard followed him there, where he stayed until he had to leave for London to film Citadel. And literally the very next day after Froy wrapped filming, he was on the plane to London, where he lived with Richard for another few months until Richard had to fly to Spain for more Citadel filming. They only filmed there for a week, but Froy still went with Richard to Spain. (There’s video of Froy boarding the private plane with Richard and several crew members.)

Also, it’s pretty obvious that Richard was in a relationship with Brandon Flynn back in 2019, for much of the same reasons you see with Froy (they were inseparable, traveled everywhere together, etc.) After they broke up (a tabloid paper published a story about them having a huge falling out), Richard and his family unfollowed Brandon on Instagram. Then later when Richard was papped with Froy, Brandon unfollowed Richard and Froy as well as Richard’s family. That sounds like a couple breakup, not two platonic friends having a fight.

Neither Richard or his boyfriend Froy are out, at least not in the sense that they’ve confirmed their relationship nor do they post selfies together (although Froy did share a story yesterday promoting Richard’s new movie) … but they’re not trying that hard to hide their relationship, either. So in that sense I would say they’re glass closeting. (Also, before Froy got with Richard, he spent a lot of time with this guy named Hunter Summerall. But after Froy moved in with Richard, Hunter blocked Froy on Instagram and posted a bunch of vague angsty poems and songs about getting your heart broken. After which Froy unfollowed Hunter’s family, lol. So it seems pretty clear that he was in a relationship with Hunter prior to Richard.)

So yeah, a lot of the evidence is circumstantial, but just the fact that they’ve lived together in LA, London, Dallas and Spain since early 2020 is pretty strong evidence. Then there’s the fact that Richard has not had a girlfriend nor even been linked to any woman since way back in 2018, and Froy has apparently never had a girlfriend, at least not publicly. They’re just two guys quietly living their lives together out of the public eye.

I would hire you as a private detective in a heartbeat —nice, convincing brief.

I’m sorry if I sounded snarky in my original post. I’m just used to people who already know all about Brandon and Froy yet still insist there’s no evidence Richard dated either one, so I get defensive.

For the record, back when he was with Brandon, a NYT reporter flat-out asked him if he and Brandon were an item. Richard’s only response was, “I don’t talk about my relationships.” Not exactly a confirmation, but he also missed the perfect opportunity to kill the rumors and say, “We’re just friends.” To me that was a read-between-the-lines statement that yes, they’re in a relationship, but no, he’s not going to talk about it.

No problem. I'm not somebody who has a problem with being wrong, I just prefer stronger evidence than a bunch of people who want someone to be queer making up stories and expecting me to go along with it. I only really know Rich from GOT and that Cinderella movie he did a few years ago and now the Eternals. I generally don't follow celebrities all that closely unless I really like them, and although Richard is a cutie, he doesn't peak my interest enough to keep tabs on him. As for Brandon and Froy, this is literally my first time hearing of them. They don't appear to be big-time actors which might explain why his connection to them slipped passed my radar.

I could be wrong, but some of the men mentioned in this thread seem a little far-fetched. Such as...

Leonardo DiCaprio. I NEVER got a gay vibe from Leo. A womanizer vibe? Yes. An "I'll be 90 years old and still dating college girls" vibe? Hell yes. But a "I like dick" vibe? Sorry, but no.

Richard Madden. He's British, so as an American, I have no idea how you can tell. No offense, but to Americans, most Brits seem gay because unlike America, the British culture does not condition their men as heavily with toxic masculinity. British men can cry, learn to crochet, enjoy the theater, not enjoy sports, etc. and still enjoy pussy more than a cat enjoys tuna. The only person who seems far-fetched, but at the same time would totally make sense if they were gay, is Chris Evans. He's literally the perfect man. Or so he seems on camera. He's handsome, smart, funny, successful, doesn't take life too seriously, advocates for the little man, stands up for equality and justice, has a sensitive side, loves animals and has an ass you could bounce a quarter off of. And yet, he is always single. He is 40 years old with no wife and no children, which is odd because Chris loves kids and considers himself a family man. He periodically has girlfriends, but the relationships never last a year and almost seem like publicly stunts organized by his agent. Elton John has already spilled the beans that Hollywood agents will sometimes set their gay clients up with women to play into the heterosexual image. As long as they are caught holding hands together or kissing each other by paparazzi, the relationship doesn't have to last forever, it just has to last long enough for people to believe they're fucking.

May I ask why Prince Harry is a suspect? I know that a lot of people, American and European alike, are upset that Prince Harry favors Black women because God forbid we see the day where women of color are considered more beautiful than White women and become princesses, but whether Black, White or Purple, Harry likes women.
