what about bi men? gay women? bi women?

Is there a point to this question? some sort of misguided homophobia?

what about gay men reading the ....Quoran? (apologies for spelling) or other religious/sacred works? or bi men?

curious what the (for lack of a better word) slant is?

does it matter if the gay man is circumcised? what about nationality? age? relationship status?

I know some Gay people who read the Quran .... Religion is a personal matter

Gees, I thought everyone knew that "the Gays" can't read the Bible...

That explains why so many of them are such successful writers, artists, politicians, theatre and film directors, software programmers, electricians, economists, graphic designers, engineers, philanthropists, photographers, ambassadors, naturalists, language interpreters, managers, human rights activists, soldiers, affordable housing advocates, rocket scientists, etc.

Some of them are great pornographers, too...

Those dang Gays just plain can't read!

It would have been a valid question had it not singled-out gay men, thus creating the impression that either: gay men feel so ashamed or they're too busy doing 'gay things' that they don't read religious texts, or that being a gay means you lack the ability to read.

Memo to the OP: next time make your questions open to all. If you wanted to know the orientation as well you could have asked or had a poll. Kapish?

I don't read the Bible very often. Does this mean I may become gay? OMG! Oye vay! Seriously where do some people come up with this shit?

has op finally run out of thought for the creation of reasonable thread topics ?

Seriously, honestly: did he ever have any in the first place? His homophobic comments have already resulted in one temp ban.

thought of not being so crass to the fella
yuletide (everyday) spirit hah

I've never been known as one who has ever exhibited fervor for nor exalted in the Christmas spirit; why start now?

Is the implication that if you're gay you can't follow the word of God? A Rick Perry follower do we have?
The only potential intent, other than to rile, that I can imagine the OP having is that perhaps he wondered how gay people who do read the Bible might reconcile themselves with the anti-gay message contained within. Maybe?

If so, it's still a stupid question because the same could be asked of people who work on Sundays or are against slavery.

The Bible doesn't have an anti-gay message in it. There are people who have lifted a few verses and decided to interpret them to have anti-gay meaning, but those people lie.

What about:

Leviticus 18:22 'Thou shalt not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.'

Look, I don't want to get into a debate about this too much. I know the Bible is pretty quiet on things like sexuality, a lot more so than is usually made out. 'Message' was a poor choice of word. I was just trying to see how the OP could have had some intention other than trolling in mind. He probably didn't, now that I've read some of his other posts...

Well, I'm a Bible thumping Christian, and I have read multiple translations of the Bible, the Torah in Hebrew, the Q'ran, more than a few Buddhist koans, etc. Yep, I'm fairly well read.

And, to the OP...considering the date, let me wish you chag chanukkah sameach!

There are a lot of things in Leviticus that are no longer relevant. That's one of them.

You are right about the OP. He hates everybody, and will use whatever's handy to justify it.

Yeah, but the Bible has a whole lot of other "Messages" about Not working on the Sabbath, not suffering witches to live, and cutting off offensive body parts.

Not all of them are relevant, IMO.

There are also many MORE Scriptures about loving your neighbor as yourself, and doing unto others as you would have them to do unto you. I'd think as those are of the New Testament, and Allegedly straight out of Jesus' mouth, that those are MUCH more relevant than condemnations.
