I had a night out with the boys. I went with my buddy to his friend's gym after hours with about 12 guys I don't know very well. We played a spirited game of water polo. I have rarely played it before but I actually like it. As the beer flowed some speedos came off. I took mine off too as it was not very comfortable and being naked gave me freedom of movement. Most of the guys there were in great shape and married. One Marine guy was covering me and trying to block me. He made comments on my body and I made comments on his shape (although his stomach needs work). He was strong and aggressive with me and grabbed my waist and butt a few times. Long story short he made a pass at me in the steamroom as I layed there drinking my Corona Lite. I was shocked when he said and I quote "I know you don't act gay, but I heard you wrestled in college and since you have a big dick that is shaved I figured you would be gay"
No offence but I get upset when wrestling is linked to being gay.
Also, is there some kind of stereotype with big dicks and being gay that I don't know about?
The whole night was crazy.

Yeah, Wrestling is sort of stereotyped with gay tendicys... Its total bull shit..Yeah ok,, so im bi and desperately wanted to wrestle in high school.. big deal.. it want because i wanted to rub my body up against another man,, it was because i wanted to hurt people (i was an angry teen XD )

as for the big dick and gay link.. I think its just that gay men are more prone to show what they got, were-as strait men tend to feel its only reserved for them and their Ho of the evening.

If "cause and effect" is involved, it's more likely to go the other way. Something causes far more variation in penis size than just about any other somatic feature, and it's not unreasonable to postulate that that something has other effects as well.

Data would be useful, but it won't come from LPSG - far to many BSers here.

A lot of these threads like this I don't read or answer. But I will add my 2 cents here. I saw on the news or read in a magazine. The main reason men have their penises surgically enlarged is so they "look" good at the GYM. In front of other men when showering etc. They feel less "inadequate", after having the procedure done. I have sat with my past girlfriend ( hairdresser) with people she worked with. Gay men and str8 women. And most of the men either jokingly or seriously said. Alot of men with big dicks... are gay... because they are so consumed with the idea of penis itself. Constantly wanting to show it off or see others that have or may have a large penis. There was more to it than this. But basicaly that was the deal. I am pretty big. But never realized it really till later in my life. So it was not a big deal to me.
I can see it, if someone in their youth is all so consumed with thoughts of their own or others penises. It would have a very adverse psych. affect on them.

A very insecure str8 man will tell a woman that other males that are hung is gay. A very insecure gay man will tell others that gay men are well hung. The fact is some str8, some bi and some gay men are hung. The only thing I have noticed in the gym lockerroom is that small cocked men will wear a towel to the sauna and to the shower and some will even shower in shorts or a swim suit. Those of us who have bigger than avg size will throw the towel over our shoulders and swing through the lockerroom to the sauna and to the showers and back to the lockers. The above is like saying all men who work out a lot and have these very cut and masculine bodies do it to make up for being smaller between the thighs. Just not so. Some are and some aren't.

I read that a few years ago. I wonder if there's any actual basis in it, scientifically as in a Doctor measured up the guys (self measurements are often a bit enhanced!)

I don't know about wrestlers and gay but, what I've found is those skinny guys who pack a massive peace. Check it out guys. Most postings of skinny guys that i've seen are huge. Length and Girth. Check it.

I've known some well hung guys who gave up having good sex with women and turned to guys because they could "take it." I once heard Howard Stern say, "All 'big' guys eventually go gay..." I don't know if he meant for the same reason or because he has a problem with hung men and just wants to dis them. (That's probably it.)

I will say that if you feel up a guy in a gay bar, he's usually hard or semi. Since most guys are at least 6" when hard it follows that if you were to see a lot of gay guys together, especially naked, you'd be seeing a group that was hard or semi hard and, therefore, appear larger than say a group of guys in a health club.

No offense but this whole set-up seems soooooo gay to me! Wrestling is just the tip of the iceberg here! Str8 guys? Water-polo? No suits!! Booze?? The only thing missing is the film crew shooting the porno.

As for the assertion that gay men have slightly larger penises than non-gay males, this one goes all the way back to late 19th century Germany and a rather disreputable 'researcher' named Krafft-Ebing who included it this 'fact' in his assessment of the mutations of homosexuality.

No actual scientific study has ever confirmed this assertion.

It is doubly amusing/scary to see that 99% of the bullshit the Krafft-Ebing published forms the basic pop-culture stereotype of homosexuals (the lisp, the swishy walk, the limp wrist - all are from Krafft-Ebing).
