I don't really see the 'straight guy-gay guy' differences, folks. I think men are just men, and that we act in particular ways because of the relative inability to deal with our sexuality. Masculinity is the same for all of us and it was comforting to 'come out' as a MAN (not just a gay man) and find that to be true.

I know just as many gay guys who are focused on sports, sex, money, sex, cars, gym, sports, sex, sleep, beer, sex, etc as I do straight guys.

We really are all the same, just with different hangups that have NOTHING to do with where we put our dicks, but to do with what we're afraid of.

I LOVE being a MAN!!!!

There's a difference?

...

As usual I never considered it. You're you; your sexuality does not dictate that.

Straight guys are a big mystery to me. Sometimes I feel like they're a different species. But I think that also about the gay guys who are 'one of the guys'. I guess I just don't understand the 'guy thing' even tho' I'm a lot less clueless about it than I used to be.

I have a dick. You have a dick. I am a male. You are a male. There is no mystery really; the focus of homosexual "behaviors" is relatively new; it's been in my studies only a major part of life twice.

As I'm bi-, it's a mystery to me as to why anyone would want to be 100% str8 or even 100% gay. You're really missing out by limiting yourselves to a single gender. BWTF, I'm also an animal.

Primal_Savage, I honestly wish I found women sexually attractive but don't. I've always been a sexual animal and have explored a lot of my potential to this point. Occasionally, I find myself a bit envious of my bi friends. I'm one of the those few that truly lives on the other end of Kinsey's scale.

I'm open to change, though, (I know it's the way of the universe) and expect that at some point my meter will flip a bit. Hopefully I won't be too old to play!

I don't get it...why would you want to flip? I mean, I don't want to try gay sex, but that doesn't make me a bad person! Or does it? I never know anymore.

I can admit a guy is good looking...but my cock doesn't launch when I see man-ass. Is that ok?

lemont77, don't misunderstand me. I LOVE sex and am interested in exploring as much of that universe as I can. I don't feel bad that I don't want to have sex with women... I don't feel bad that I don't really like licorice either but I get it at Christmas sometimes and hate saying 'no, thank you' (hee hee).

And yes, you can admit to a good-looking guy but not his ass. I say the same of my lady friends but not wanting to look at their pussies!

No offense, ladies.

Hellyboy0, maybe the switch was easier for me as all thru H.S. and most of my first year of college, I hadn't even thought of getting it on with another guy. Although I had had buddies give me blowjobs, I wouldn't return the favor. Wasn't curious and didn't even want to experiment. Then under rather unusual circumstances I switched.

I rarely notice whether a guy is gay or straight..fact is, I have no way of knowing for certain up front! All I know is that occasionally another man and I will click and it could end up in sex! Occasionally another man and I will click and it could end up as a friendship!
Unless a guy informs me he is violently opposed to gays, I suppose I would not know that he was probably straight!
It is my perception that some men I have known are very anti-gay!
I have not observed in any men a similar anti-hetero bias!
How do I feel about straight men? : they are men with cocks and sexual attraction just like all men! Unless they give me some strong signal to keep my distance , I treat them just as I would any man!

Basically, I can put all straight men that I've met into 1 of 2 categories:
Signs of the Totally Clueless straight man:
  1. He thinks primarily of himself, and is always "on guard", 24/7, of his precious reputation, his precious ego and his precious possesions.
  2. Anything that he does not understand, he disregards as unimportant.

  1. I have a female relative who fits those two perfectly; does that mean that she's actually a totally clueless straight man?

As a straight man, i have known gay mens' view of me to be that they like what they see, that they want it and are not hesitant to say so.
When they figure out that I am not gay they want nothing to do with me and will not even talk to me as a friend.
Even though I would happily know them as a friend.
The best I have gotten from a gay man is offering me his hot woman friend for sex. That was very nice of him, I thought.

The following may be perceived as attitude and anger but it is not. (It is really hard to differentiate emotions in cyberspace unless you screenwrite the feeling.)

(plain reserved voice.)
Well, you can say that because you're bisexually inclined and it is very presumptuous to say that I am missing out on something that I am not in the slightest of wanting. I like men sexually. I like women socially not sexually.

I am not limiting myself at all. I know what I like. (calm voice ends in a .)

yeah, I'm really missing all that negative energy, the smells, the incessant talking, all that loud emoting, the incessant talking, all that marvelous unsolicited advice, the incessant talking, all the demands for attention 24 hours a day, the smells, the incessant talking, those times of the month, the incessant talking, the smells ...

That is just a gay man's way of "falling out of love with the wrong person" that is all. I do that when I meet a handsome straight guy...to keep me from overstepping boundaries. Some gay men cannot handle platonicisms from hot straight guys. I think that you shouldn't take that personally. Trust me on that.

Do straight men really do these sort of things?

I just hate the fact that some straight men will go to any unnecessary length for pussy. I know some guys that would jump off of a ten story building if they knew that a girl was going to fuck them.

This dickhead the other day at this bar was standing by a chair. I moved it to sit down with my friends. He was like, "that is my girl's chair. If you move it, she will get pissed." A few minutes later, the girl was talking to me about what cologne I was wearing, and trying to get me to do the Soulja Boy. I asked her was she sitting there, she was like, no. Take the chair. And the said guy was kissing some other chick.

Also, when they feel the need to want to fight and push guys instead of saying excuse me or can you move, bro?

That excessive macho posturing is so overrated. "Yeah bro, I fucked her so hard. She was screaming, and taking this cock." Or "Yeah man, look at the tits on that girl. I wanna go up and put my face in between them and blow." Or "That girl was ugly, but she had a huge rack. That's all I could see."

None of what you say here is really exclusive to straight men, especially not fighting or macho posturing. You could substitute "cock/dick" for "pussy" and make very much the same argument.
