So a gay nfl player is strongly considering coming out.

NFL player reportedly considers saying he's gay - NFL.com

Any guesses as to who it is, or want to share who you want it to be.

I want it to be Colin Kaepernick or Tim Tebow.

It won't be a shocker if it's Timmy Tebow.:biggrin1:

It makes me laugh because this is the sport where there aren't supposed to be any gays. They are probably more gay or bi NFL players than artists. It's all a facade that people buy into.

I am always amused at threads like this. Of *course* we'd all like it if Kaepernick or Tebow or a Manning would come out, because we think they are hot. But they're probably not any of them gay, or coming out. It'll more likely be someone that few of us have heard of. Did you know the name Esera Tuaolo or John Amaechi before they came out, after their NFL and NBA careers were over?

And on what does one base the assertion that there are probably more gay or bi NFL players than there are artists? Is this because big strapping guys who are in an all-male environment with tons of physical contact and nudity in locker rooms must have a high percent gay people? Please. In my opinion probably somewhere around 5% of NFL players have been gay, just like in almost every other profession, like the NBA, airline pilots, chemists, and cab drivers.

NFL rosters are typically, what, 60 guys? There's 32 teams in the league, correct? Do the math. There's literally hundreds of players to choose from. Chances are announcing his sexuality will be the first thing we've ever heard of this guy doing.

Always had a suspicion of Tim T-cunt...oops I mean Bow.
Why the hate? Tim Tebow seems like the nicest person in the world. Gives tons of his time to charity (let alone money). Never says a bad word about anyone. Always smiling. Puts a positive spin on things that would get most people riled up. Not an amzing player, but I think he's a very good man. Probably not gay, but if he were, it would be a real bonus for Team Gay. Aside from finding him attractive, I find him sweet and charming.

Agreed. I was going to post something along the same lines myself but you already did it eloquently.

Also, I do think that StevJ's blindly hateful post is something that does far more harm to the Gay Community than anything Tim Tebow could do. You can disagree with someone's beliefs and opinions without having to call them a cunt. It just perpetuates the negative stereotype of the bitchy queen. It bugs me that so many gay men have no control whatsoever over how creepy they allow themselves to be sometimes.

Because some people think that anyone who is proud to be a Christian is automatically the enemy.

Sklar
I'm a Christian, and I never get grief from my fellow Christians (ones that I actually know, not referring to people you read about in the paper) about being gay. I do catch grief from a kot of fellow gay people that I know for being a Christian.
