I'm still wondering how has Trump put America first.
Well, a few ways are pulled us out of that terrible Iran Cash giveaway, Pulled out of the bad Paris Accords deal, put thousands back to work and especially African Americans and Hispanics, Huge tax cuts that helped all, two confirmed conservative Supreme Court Justices and another about to be confirmed, meaning the court will decide Constitutionally and not try and make new laws which it does not have the autority to do.Rebuilt the military and raised morale, made NATo start paying it's share of cost of defending themselves, a great start to peace in the middle east with UAE, Israel, and Bahrain, wiping out ISIS, working on making trade beteen China and US fair instead ot US getting screwed. Those are just a few. Want me to continue. :D

Klingsor has already spelled it all out in post #2. Quite specifically. It's a Gays for Trump thread as you've reminded us. You have the floor and a skeptical audience. How has Trump helped the gay community?

cutting off WHO, as well, who failed to do their proper job during this pandemic because they had to suck the dick of China to make sure they didn’t paint China in a bad light. Though, WHO’s main source of funding was the USA and China was relatively low on the list, so why did they try to protect China so much?
Thankfully, he’ll also making China own up to causing and mismanaging the corona virus situation. He’s also trying to make smaller government in areas too.

Only in your mind was the 1619 project a failure. If Rep. Omar committed fraud she should be held accountable. The NYT tax story is not bullshit. I understand you mistook the NYT for Fox, but it is entirely different and surprisingly accurate. Trump's going to prison - he'll probably going to be in the protective wing in Attica or Sing Sing. I'm sure he will meet many friendly trans folks who will look forward to thanking him over and over again for all he has done for the community.

Says who? Who appointed you thread monitor? In case you haven't noticed, members in this forum are free to comment in any thread they want to and if you can't handle being contradicted, too bad; it's gonna happen. Grow a pair.

:joy: Most of these are outright lies, but I do appreciate you being civil and I genuinely mean that. The "Iran cash giveaway" isn't a thing. Trump has put no one back to work. He has taken credit for the previous administrations work. Trump isn't smart enough to create jobs in America. The tax cuts were for the 1%. I'm not really sure why everyone speaks about tax cuts as if they actually benefited from them. What the 1% isn't paying in taxes. The middle and lower class have to pick up the bill. Conservative supreme court judges will do more harm than good. The decisions they rule upon. Sets the trend for the country. The military didn't need to be rebuilt. They've always had trillions being funneled in. These seemed more like the failed talking points the republican party came up with in a debate rather than a honest opinion or viewpoint.

No, the 1619 project was a failure. Did you see what happened? The creator herself has gone MIA, almost all tweets gone, and the chairman of NYT stepped down. So.... that was a waste of time that didn’t do anything but embarrass the NYT further. I also do not watch Fox News. And I hope your wet dreams of Trump wanting to prison fuck with trans people thrills you.

I see Trump as the bottom in that pile, but nothing about him thrills me - other than the prospect of receiving justice. The 1619 project if fine, it will be in public school very soon. My local, conservative district is already using it on honors classes. The NYT must be embarrassed about all the new subscriptions they are getting - a dollar a week for a year, then less than 5 a week thereafter - a great value for the world's best news source. Try it. No comic pages, but still worth reading.

Yeah sure... anyway.

This once again proves people don’t read before running their mouths on bullshit topics, and it’s concerning how people don’t understand taxes. I’ll blame the education system for not equipping the public with understanding taxes, I guess, or just being used to have the taxes deducted automatically from the paycheck. (Income taxes A whole different thing.)

Instead of getting a refund he pushed $750 to cover tax liability for the years ahead.
It’s also legal what he’s doing:

sad how the NYT knows their readers are mindless idiots who’ll start barking any headline that can portray trump negatively. Read the article to understand what is really going on.

ffs, Trump also gives up his salary every year too. It’s just never enough for y’all to not waste energy to be negative.

Unfortunately its the only way they know. Trying to convince them to read and do research will make their tiny minds self destruct. Sometimes it's best not to bother.

Nikole Hannah-Jonesis is very much around and has not gone missing OR deleted tweets. She's changed her twitter handle,as a tribute, to @IdaBaeWells, an African-American investigative journalist, educator, and an early leader in the civil rights movement.
The publisher of the New York Times is A.G. Sulzberber who has been publisher since 2018, before the 1619 project was publiched.
The editor of the 1619 project was Jake Silverstein and he remains in the same job, editor of the New York Times Magazine.
Everything you said about the New York Times was not true.
So there's that....

As The New York Times deletes portions of the '1619 Project,' its creator deletes her tweets

The stated goal of the 1619 Project "is to reframe American history by considering what it would mean to regard 1619 as our nation's birth year. Doing so requires us to place the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of the story we tell ourselves about who we are as a country."

Seems that they have really stepped back from this and have even distanced themselves from the project in hopes of forgetting.

N.Y. Times' Arthur Sulzberger Jr. to Retire as Chairman by End of December | Hollywood Reporter

Coincidence he’s stepping down as the project is losing credibility and they’re trying to step back on all of it?

Missing the point bigly. Once the taxes are scrutinized overall, not just bits and pieces, there will be criminal issues galore because of where the money came from and went. Shady is built into the tax code, we all know this. That is not where the problems are going to be.

Looks like you're spinning here, trying to make your wishful thinking fit your rhetoric. Sulzberger is 70, not an unreasonable retirement age for a man who did not have to work at all.

Regarding the 1619 Project, I find it hard to get worked up about who said what when, or people modifying their positions, when it comes to something so amorphous. Clearly, if you’re talking about the “founding” of America, you mean different things depending on the date you’re considering. But one thing is certain: there’s a backstory—what we know as America wasn’t created ex nihilo in 1776. If we can still celebrate the arrival of the Mayflower in 1620 as a seminal date in our history, surely the arrival of the first slave ship a year earlier deserves similar attention.
