Genetics and Penis Size

Hello everyone, I have been a member of this site for a while now and I have seen a few threads about people and wether or not their penis size is similar to their siblings or other family members, and what I am wondering is, has there ever been a study on how penis size and genetics relate? As far as I know there has not been and it is a topic that has always interested me. I mean I do not think that it is because I am gay, I just think its an interesting thougt about genetics. If going bald is a genetic trait, and height, weight and body type are in some ways related to genetics, then why not penis size. If anyone knows of any actual scientific studies please let me know or if you have any personal observences, please let me know as well.

Genetics are a queer thing--I can't say QUEER enough times--


Genetics give from here and there and from the mothere and the father as well. What features you get are always up to the odds. There are from what I recall recessive genes but even recessive genes can occasionally burst forward and exhibit in a kid if both parents have the recessive. I remmember this with eye color and how brown eyes are dominant over blue but if both parents have brown eyes they can still have a blue eyed kid because they may each have the recessive gene. Now if both parents have blue eyes and the kid has brown eyes then clearly someone--the mother has been doing it with the postman or somebody else.

It also went into other things as well this whole genetic mess.

Take me for example. I took some traits from both sides of the family and as a result I look like none of my brothers but I have traits from mother and my father. Its harder to say if penis size was inherited from mothers side or father's side. My father was a good size the few times I saw him as I was growing up but my grandfather on mothers side had a nice bulge going for him in his trousers--although it may have been his wallet. Never saw him naked so I don't know his actual size.


Regarding the gay and penis size stuff that is open for debate for many but I can tell you that I am the only queer one in my set and my 4 brothers are essentiallyt the same size. I'm only talking about in the flacid form since I have never had the horror of seeing them errect. I know one brother seems to have larger balls than the rest of us--noticeabley larger, but he is also on the skinny side with his body so it may be an optical illusion thing going on and I'm not avout to ask him the actual size.

I think it is, as any other phisical feature is, i.e. eye colour, height, structure...

Anyway a gene can remain hidden for a few generation and then come out again, so size of near relatives is not always revealing.

Complex Physical features such as penis size are not determined by simple Mendelian patterns of inheritance (such as eye colour). There is defiantly a strong genetic component, but it is likely a result of complex interaction of many genes across the genome at several loci. Obviously as previously mentioned you do get half your genes from each parent, but like any complex genetic trait, having a particular gene is neither necessary nor sufficient to ensure expression of that trait. There is likely to be a conseiderable impact from environmental factors such as diet, as well as a bit of luck!!

BOTH parents genetic traits play into all physical characteristics. Sexual reproduction make all humans hybrids (unless we are cloned). We all have traits from both parents. Baldness for example, can come from the female parents side or the male parents side.

I agree that penis size is inheritied genetically, but both parents genes are involved. comparing your dick size to your fathers may seem logical, but you are made up of genes from both parents. having a bick dick gene on moms side too will certainly help your chances, but there is no genetic gaurentees. my father was/is hung very very huge...like 10" with a huge -and I mean big plum size huge-head and extremely hairy..covered in hair. I am "only" 9" with a normal size head and am only half as hairy as him. how could this be if genes don't mix themselves up and re-arrange. but still it does increase your chances of having a big one I would think , if your father has a big one

Without a doubt penis size is genetic. Mistakenly we think it is on the part of the fathers side but actually it is in fact the mothers genetic makeup that predicts penis size. I heard this on CNN not on some porn site.

I belive dick size is genetic. Like male pattern baldness mostly infuenced by mothers side. Remember the reason we are male is the 23 pair of chormsomes the y chormomsome has less genetic material so there is no genetic material to counteract what is inherited from the mother. So I will also say that I belive that having a big dick is a ressive trait. But you must also consider that there are many other factors that effect genetics thing like crossing over where the DNA exchanges with other genes. So It is very compicated to say what role genetics play in dick size. Without a scientific study that is reproduceable.
