TK, glad to hear that you have found a piercing that has been successful in increasing pleasure. I think it's very erotic and fun, when a woman has a piercing that not only adorns her body, but can also be played with in ways that please her.
To address concerns from some other posts, like
Amygirl posted, you should be able to take a hood piercing out and only wear it when wanted if you start to experience desensitization. From my understanding and experience, the skin of the hood is thin and resilient, and so fairly easy and painless to pierce, and will heal well and keep its hole so as to allow easy self-removal and replacement of jewelry. I think a lot more women would enjoy this piercing, if only they understood more about it.
I like to have genital piercings that can be easily removed, for those times or female partners for which they are in the way somehow. I always refer to mine as "optional". My experience, though, is that they can create everything from a bit of extra interest to a real increase in pleasure for my lovers during penetration. My frenum barbell, in particular, really hits a lot of G-spots in the right way, in the right position.....

p.s. I also have a nipple piercing that has to be "optional" and come out - or be replace by a discreet retainer - for certain social situations, and because my daughter finds it embarassing when I'm in a swimsuit. I'd also remove it if a lover was turned off by it, though that hasn't happened yet.
