I'd run circles around his stupid ass with both eyes shut.

Next.

He's been to every state, traveled all over the world and met with world leaders. He graduated from Philip's Academy, has a Bachelor's from Yale and an MBA from Harvard, was governor and elected president twice. Oh, I forgot, he stole the presidency twice. If you're so miserable in the USA, move somewhere else. What is your background? You wouldn't even last 5 minutes in a debate with him discussing any of these issues:

First term

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, sans-seri]In 2001, with less than a month's notice, American and British forces in Afghanistan joined with local anti-Taliban troops in an assault on the al Qaeda network and the Taliban regime that gave it safe harbor in Afghanistan.

Passage of the USA Patriot Act met one of the president's goals. This law brought down the artificial wall separating law enforcement and intelligence officers and allowed them to talk to each other as they work to prevent future attacks.

In 2002, President Bush proposed and Congress approved a single, unified Department of Homeland Security to improve protection against today's threats and be flexible enough to help meet the unknown threats of the future. By unifying over 22 agencies and offices, the president has improved the government's ability to guard U.S. borders and infrastructure and patrol the skies.

In 2003, coalition forces acted with skill and bravery to liberate the Iraqi people and remove a grave and gathering danger to America and the world.

The murderous regimes of Saddam Hussein and the Taliban are history and more than 50 million people have been liberated.

Between 2000 and 2003, productivity grew at the fastest three-year rate in more than 50 years.

In September 2003, the U.S. Department of Commerce reported the lowest unemployment rate (5.4%) since October 2001.

The president's tax relief allowed families to keep more of what they earn by cutting tax rates across the board.

In 2003, President Bush announced the Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, a five-year, $15-billion initiative to turn the tide in combating the global HIV/AIDS pandemic. Just one month after Congress appropriated funds for the president's plan, $350 million was awarded to service providers for critical prevention efforts and to bring life-saving treatment to suffering people in some of the hardest-hit countries in Africa and the Caribbean.

President Bush submitted his framework for education reform, No Child Left Behind (NCLB), three days after taking office and secured overwhelming bipartisan support less than a year later. NCLB represents the most significant overhaul of U.S. education policy since 1965, when the Elementary and Secondary Education Act was passed.

In December 2003, President Bush signed legislation that makes Health Savings Accounts available to millions of Americans. Health Savings Accounts offer flexible, affordable insurance options for small businesses and individuals.

This legislation also will make prescription drug coverage available to 40 million senior citizens and people with disabilities through the Medicare healthcare system.

President Bush has committed America to meeting the challenge of long-term global climate change by reducing the ratio of greenhouse gas emissions to economic output, or greenhouse gas intensity, by 18 percent by 2012 compared to 2002.

In December 2003, President Bush signed legislation implementing key provisions of his Healthy Forests Initiative. The President's initiative is helping restore the health and vitality of forests and rangelands, and helping reduce the threat of catastrophic wildfires.

If you live outside the USA,(as a lot of us do) he comes across as a moron.
The perception is that he is a puppet of the oil companies, and he has not got a clue what happens in the real world ("Bring it on" "Mission accomplished" etc). Of course, he is the president....and he was elected by the majority. So for better or worse, we are stuck with him.(We as in the whole world. What the US does impacts on all of us)

People that defend him deserve to be shit on! They are bigger douche bags than he is which is hard to do because he is the douche of the douches.

I don't have a clue how old you are and if you've ever even voted. You could be 18 for all I know. I've been voting since I've been legally able to. As an American citizen who loves this country, I will defend the president whether he is a Democrat or a Republican. It doesn't mean I agree with everything Reagan, Bush Sr, Clinton, or George W. has done. And it doesn't mean I'll agree 100% with what a future president does. In my eyes, they've all done good and bad; they're human, and the American president is the or at least one of the most powerful leaders in the world. If you find it so bad here, move to Canada, Mexico, or somewhere else. We have it good here--damn good! I'm planning on spending the rest of my life here no matter who the president happens to be.

Well I'm sure the leader of the
Gay Old Party
would love you to do just that ...

(he caused quite a stirr in the media here in Canada when he tried to pick up one of our PM's staff during one of his visits here)

anyway he's certainly brighter than some people posting on this thread ..

Having met all 3 constitutional qualifications George W. Bush became President of the United States twice. If you think those are not enough and have further qualifications you want to add to the list, you should start a petition to amend the Constitution. Warning: It takes a while and it ain't easy.

I don't think fff disputes that Bush meets the constitutional requirements. Of course he does.
But a president must have high intelligence, be well informed, have real relevant experience, and ideally not be captive of blinkering ideological biases.
These traits, and others, are needed to be a good president.
It looks very clear right now that Bush will be classed among the worst presidents.
Even some Republican candidates are finding him radioactive.
Bush is not a serious thinker, has little historical knowledge, has narrow views, has a chilling sense of having a divine mission. (For example, he doesn't listen to his father, no, he listens to the daddy upstairs, apparently ... revealing a channeling capacity that the men in white should find interesting.)
Unfortunately, he combines incompetence with decisiveness ... not a combo you want in a president.

Most if not all of our presidents have had a strong religious faith or some kind of spirituality. That's nothing the "men in white" need to be concerned about. Ever read this book?

Well, whether or not he was trying to "pick up" that staff person is unclear, but it was funny nonetheless. Here's a funny account of it, as well as some other funny stuff dealing with our president's homosexual ways.:biggrin:

He is not the same man I voted for when he got my vote in '04.

In many areas, he's "gone 'round the bend".....and has been infuriating.

And there's definitely NO chemistry there with George....never was anyway.

No, I don't suppose the "men in white" really need to get involved.
But Bush's religiosity is worrisome.
And believing God is advising you is a spiritual kink too far, imo.

I don't see how it could be worrisome. Religion or spirituality is a positive thing for any powerful leader, and they all look to a higher power for advice and strength. After all, they're dealing with situations on a daily basis that we can't even fathom. I'm not sure how any of us could be negatively affected by a president praying for guidance and believing in God.

Bush tends to wear it on his sleeve more than other past presidents, and has been vocal about it. Kennedy was a devout Catholic and attended mass weekly. Jimmy Carter was a born again Christian who prayed several times a day seeking spiritual guidance. Ronald Reagan also had a strong religious faith, prayed daily and always before cabinet meetings.

A lot of people don't even realize Bill Clinton was very spiritual. I just read an article that said the following:
"Bill Clinton could quote Scripture with the best of them. Bill Clinton could preach with the best of them. He gave some very powerful speeches at Notre Dame, where he sounded Catholic; at African-American churches, where he sounded AME or Baptist. Now, these all overlap. It wasn't contradictory. And he quoted Scripture at least as much, if not more than George W. Bush does."

And all of the candidates currently running for president have a strong faith. I'm sure whoever wins will look to that faith to get them through their presidency.

I am not a blind patriot. I love America with all its greatness and with all its faults. I will not do anything for my country with asking questions. We have a right as citizens to question everything. And the reason I say if you don't like it get out is because I don't understand why people would live here if they are so miserable. People are a lot unhappier in other countries. People are fighting to come and live in America. I'm glad I never had to do that.

In my opinion it is the best place to live. Maybe you disagree, and that's fine. I do not believe in any kind of conspiracy theory regarding 9/11. And I feel very safe living here. Nothing drastic has happened since 9/11 and I'm grateful for that.

I don't think he "stupid" but he is no way qualifed to be president.

You were probably out with Foot-in-the-Mouth Disease the day they covered American Civics in your grade school so it's up to me to break it to you. The qualifications to be President of the United States as set forth by the Constitutions are:

1. To be a natural-born citizen of the United States
2. At least 35 years of age
3. Obtain a majority of votes in the Electoral College of the United States

Having met all 3 constitutional qualifications George W. Bush became President of the United States twice. If you think those are not enough and have further qualifications you want to add to the list, you should start a petition to amend the Constitution. Warning: It takes a while and it ain't easy.

I understand the constitutional requirements. I still do not think Mr. Bush is qualified to be president.

Lets see a list of accomplishments.
Turned our largest surplus ever into the largest deficit ever.
Thrashed Kyoto treaty and our enviorment while ignoring global warming warnings.
Incompetent responce to Katrina despite precise warning.
Failed to prevent 9/11(They knew SOMETHING was coming) and failed to punish the perpetrators.
Started a worldwide distrust for the USA by starting a pre-emtive dishonest war and botching the occupation.
Disgraced the USA with secret prisons, illegal torture,"extraordinary renditions".
Subverted OUR CONSTITUTIONS checks and balances.
He is an extra ordinary liar with an attack on Iran on the horizon he will be securing his last place position in history as our worst president ever!

Where did that come from?!? Check your facts, the guys in on the 9/11 mess were predominately Saudi's.

The 1993 attack was perpetrated by a Kuwaiti (Of Pakistani decent) and a member of Al Quaeda.

That should scare you more than anything..............
