Are there any known pictures of Gerald McRaney who portrayed Major Dad on televeision either unclothed or at least without a shirt on? If anybody has them it would be wonderful to see them here.

Thank you,

Irv

When I was a kid I never appreciated what an amazing talent Gerald McRaney and Jameson Parker were in Simon & Simon. Here is a great episode: Tanks for the Memories. Watch Simon & Simon | Tanks for the Memories online | Free | Hulu

First aired on March 16, 1982 (but could have been written today.) The two brothers return to their old high school to find a lost classmate and get tangled-up with a paramilitary group led by a fabulously deranged ex-Colonel played by Lance LeGault. In a scene worthy of an Emmy, LeGault beautifully albeit insanely explains the concept of world peace through firepower: "The logic of it is so clear, so pristine. Peace through firepower!"

There is also an unforgettable bar scene with the two brothers going undercover as demented soldiers of fortune that isn't to be forgotten. Gerald McRaney holding up a glass of whiskey in a toast: "Cold lead and warm women; Apocalypse now! Death to tyrants!"

They don't write television scripts like this anymore.

Here he is...with Magnum and Higgins in the background!

I always thought he was hot also. I've read, but don't know if it's accurate, that he is pretty conservative. I don't know how he'd like a bunch of gay men lusting after his body. LOL. BTW, he's married to Delta Burke, Suzanne Sugarbaker.

Ohhhh, I had the real hots for him from Simon &Simon, then guess later was some "Highway to Heaven" type thing where he/family "wandering country' and naturally he "fell into' helping people, but one episode some girl in wild west out "lost" & McRaney was one who found her just off edge a cliff, having been there overnight. He managed to get her pulled up and to warm removed his sweatshirt (to bare himself ! {pant pant pant} & put it on her -- just QUICK too-fast changing shot of what appeared to be nearly brillo-ey chest hair. Although sometime later learned he in real life took part in some "wildlife shoot" where animals such as tigers or lions on a captive range are "hunted." Lost most respect for him then.

He's made no secret of being a Republican, but his wife is a big supporter of gay rights, so he may be more accepting than you think. I don't know him, but I can't imagine that marriage would work if he and his wife were working for opposite goals. I also don't picture her staying with him if that was the case, either.
