I have been getting hit on a lot* recently, (for me) about 2 out of 3 times, its gay guys, and the other times it's women I don't find attractive, or are too old. (about once a week) I got hit on today by a fairly attractive 40 year old, she flattered me greatly. In the poll, please vote in the first five if you are male, and in the last five if you are female.
Only when Im with somebody in a relationship. It's like they know and do it on purpose. When it rain it pours. Yet when I'm single I couldnt buy a compliment.
Are we defining being "hit on" as being complimented in a flirtatious manner, being asked out, or both? The same thing has happend to me. I think women are turned on by the confidence men exude when they are dating someone and vice versa.
I can't answer because I don't know what you mean by "hit on". Or I'm not perceptive enough to know I'm getting hit on. Girls in real life never overtly hit on me. They never ask me out. Sometimes they will smile or try to start a conversation, but pretty shy in general around me. Depending on the situation I'm never sure if that qualifies as being hit on.
I get hit on about once a week; people complimenting my body (I'm not a body builder, but I do try to stay in shape), asking for my phone number, if they can take me somewhere, just wanting to spend some time with me to get to know me, etc. The more time I spend around the general public the more it happens. It tends to be more during the summer months because people can see more skin & become a bit more motivated to hit on people. It depends on how well someone hits on me if I give them my phone number & real name or an alias. Everybody needs an alias.
I love flirting with people. I think it's so playful and leads to some of the best relationships. I assume someone is flirting with me when they say something just a bit outside of "everyday small talk." They'll say what they have to say, then give me a look, and wait for a response. That's when I put their words into the flirting box:smile:
I've only been hit on once in my life as far as I know, when I was 14. I'm shocked when a woman I don't know even initiates conversation with me for no apparent reason. That only happens maybe once every couple years. And I'm in university for Christ's sake.
I'm just flirtatious by nature. The you more flirt with people and hit on them, the more it happens to you.
Probably about once a week. I take it as a gift. Because we all know it can stop at anytime...:biggrin1:
Nah, I've been hit on maybe 6 times in my whole life (and I'm 34 and play in 2 bands!!!) not complainin about it, people are always telling me if I smile more, I'll become more attractive to the opposite sex - and that I have a "don't bother me" air to me... yep, they're right!! muhuhuahahaha
girls stare at me a lot, especially in class...i still dont know if that's a good thing or a bad thing though. it always makes me think i have food on my face
never, never, never, my freinds say i scowl to much, and Im not mad! I havent had sex since dec 2005, maybe thats why my face is the way it is,,, I DONT KNOW GOD DAMNIT, WHATS YOUR PROBLEM! heheh,, dcw4
Look into their eyes and you'll know what they're thinkin' about you. It'll either be your naked body or the chicken stuck in your teeth.
Isn't it great that it makes us feel so sexy when someone hits on us? One day I'll be an old man, and then I'll have to flirt with myself...dreading it...absolutely dreading it.:biggrin1:
