Is it weird to like watching real crime shows? I just recently got hooked and I don't know if it's weird or okay. Or if anyone is or has been experiencing it too?
Me too, and podcasts, too! There are also lots of forums and subreddits talking about true crimes and disappearances.

Those sub-reddits discussions craft, unexpected theories regarding cases featured on true crime shows. I like the ones about the "Doodler," and "The Connecticut Valley Killer." Do you follow any specific ones?

The cold case murder of Billy London was closed for years, he was a porn actor who had started directing films too when he was killed in 1990. Gruesome details, anyway there was a big article in the L.A. Times about it not long ago, which may have a paywall so the link below is based on that article and is free. Turns out it was another porn actor who killed him, who went by Billy Houston though it's not known if they knew each other prior to the night they met. I've listened to a few podcasts about it, one by a guy whose name is apparently on the do-not-speak-that-name-here list so I will just mention that the Rachel Mason who made the Circus of Books doc, is working on a new project about the confession and the rest of the details. I'm not often into true crime stuff but this case is really fascinating.

And I still feel I can bearly begin to understand it! It's such a sick case.

I too am fascinated with True Crime stories. I subscribe to Investigation Discovery.

The Murdaugh story .............. I have followed it closely. As on Dr Phil, he said, "at what point did Alex decide in his mind to kill Mags and Paul". He had done so many other sick things before that. WTF.

Cold Case Murder of Gay Porn Actor Billy London Has Been Solved - WEHO TIMES West Hollywood News, Nightlife and Events
omg, I find it so hard to believe that the cute (at the time) Billy Houston could become who he became. He was an adorable kinda 'twink with an edge' character in his movies. Along with the fact that he committed these crimes before he went into porn just astonishes me. It never showed through to the camera that he could ever have this ugliness inside of him. He seemed like a sweet gentle soul, especially during some of the outtakes after some movies where you see his 'true self' more. Never judge a book by it's cover...

Since writing the above entry, I subscribed to Youtube Premium ........... a great spend. I have found that regular "cable tv" just doesn't cut it compared to the YT Prem.

Entertainment is definitely moving towards streaming.

I have subscribed to just about every True Crime channel. These videos just don't show up on reg cable like they do YT Prem. Although statistically there will always be a minimal percentage of really whacked sickos out there, the crimes that they commit is astounding.

The next crime series should be on corrupt Politicians. Although I am living in Canada, I closely follow US politics, because it definitely impacts our lives. I have always enjoyed history, especially US Political History and the Constitution, which is a true miracle. I was in Washington about 10 years ago. I wanted to go to see the Constitution, however the line up was literally around the block, and I had limited time.

Current events have stress tested the US Constitutional system, however, current developments holding people accountable, despite their position, is now proving that it works !

The rest of world can easily criticize the US, however, many would cherish to live there. Be proud to be an American.
