I am thinking str8 porn would sell better though, appealing to a wider audience.(gay, str8) and size queens of both genders and sexual preferences.

That's not the case. Men in gay porn generally make about three times as much per movie as those who do straight porn. The reason is simple: the biggest consumers of porn are men. In straight porn, it's the women whose appeal is important to the viewer. There are a few big straight-porn male superstars, but not everyone can be a John Holmes, Harry Reems, John Leslie, Eric Edwards, Tom Byron, etc. Some actors can demand the big money, but let's face it: the biggest pay goes to the actresses with the biggest boobs and loudest moans. In gay porn, there are only (generally) men, so that gender imbalance is not there. Gay porn does, however, have stricter standards for hiring males to appear. Do you really think a guy who looks like Ron Jeremy would make it in gay movies? Believe it or not, there are quite a few straight guys who perform in gay porn, and they do it because of the difference in pay. The bigger bottom line can tempt many guys to take it up the ass.

It's best to keep what you have private. Once you do porn flicks, who knows where it could wind up. It's forever and there's no turning back and erasing it. It could come back to haunt you and embarrass you later on when you're in a different frame of mind. Another thing about porn is that you start off not so extreme, but then they offer you more and more buck to do more and more extreme things. Many lives have been ruined by that industry.

I would suggest doing your own website and running your business yourself. Sounds like your leaning towards that. I don't doubt you will do very well. You can create the site and have control over everything, cant say enough about being in business for yourself. Just get yourself organized, decide what products and services you will offer, iron out and prepare the details. I have been a business owner for many years and love it. Does anyone remember USAJOCk.com?
His site has changed over the years, he used to actually sell clothing that he had worn. I bet picking his brain would yield alot of helpfull info. Good Luck!

I remember your site, Clint and yep, it was very hot. Living in LA as I do, and knowing a very diverse group of people as I do, here's what I know about the adult industry for men. Straight porn doesn't really pay very well for men and the best way to get into straight porn is to make friends with an actress who can then request you for a scene. It really is the actresses who call the shots in straight porn. As far as your appearance goes, yes, having a big dick is great, but increasingly you also have to be well, maybe not Brad Pitt handsome (though increasingly a lot of porn guys are) but you definitely have to have a good look and a taut body (Ron Jeremy is well-loved in the industry, but he doesn't really do a lot of porn anymore and a lot of the younger actresses aren't interested in working with him.) That old notion that guys could look like roadkill and do okay in porn doesn't hold water anymore - there are too many great-looking guys doing it now. And, you will always be a co-star, never a star in a straight porn production. The guys who are making money in straight porn are not only acting in, but also directing and producing their own lines of videos - that's where the money is for the men. That said, yes, a lot of gay guys, myself included love straight porn for the guys. And, if you could do that and manage to get on the gay personal appearance circuit, you might be able to make it all work (I don't know why more straight porn actors don't do that except that there is still some rampant homophobia among some of the old guard.)

Gay porn is where the guys make the dough. But just jerking off isn't going to work for long if you plan on making money. You will, at the very least, have to top other actors - meaning fuck them and let them blow you. Better still if you can kiss and at least suck back (you ARE an actor, aren't you?) But the film work pays shit. The big money is in the marketing, the personal appearances and for some guys, the escorting. By far though, most of the actors in gay porn are gay guys who do it as a sideline for shits and giggles. (You'd be amazed at the number of architects, graphic designers, lawyers, insurance agents and accountants who pick up some pocket change, have a few laughs, and improve their sex lives by appearing in the occasional porn flick.)

I'm with the guys who are telling you that the internet is the way to go. Good luck, man. I'll definitely be keeping my eye peeled for ya.

I can't speak for the str8 end of the adult industry, but the feedback I am getting on the gay side is that porn "stars" as we have known them are on the outs... that VOD material (video on demand) is where many companies are moving, and the market is so short-term for many guys that "stardom" is seldom come by in the industry anymore.

Adult entertainment is changing rapidly, between the instant-gratification needs of the audience and the heavy restrictions being placed on the industry by the government. You might stand to make more $ by filming your own amateur stuff (or getting a buddy to film you having sex with people) and selling video streams on your own website. Then all the cash is yours (and your buddies and performers) rather than the small percentage you'll get from a studio.

Plus, you'll be in control of where your personal information and the info of any other performers goes ~ your driver's license info including your real name, age, and address, and your ssn, which the Gov't now requires to be distributed to all secondary resellers down the line, whether it be through brick-and-mortar video stores or via the internet. If you produce and market your own streams online the info goes no further than your office. If you work for any other studio, it goes everywhere they distribute.

And yes, I hear that gay studios pay more than str8 studios.

With that in mind, there are a few gayporn companies that do straight-guy-jerking-off and straight-guy-getting-blown-by-a-guy videos and apparently there is a large enough market or that kind of stuff... you could make some quick bucks doing one of those video shoots too.

Good luck,

BBJ

There's a little more you should know before going into porn, especially if it is going to be your own enterprise.

The 2257 record keeping regulations have been re-written by Alberto Gonzales (US Attorney General), who claims they have been strengthened to protect children from exploitation (a crock of shit, incidentally). What they in essence do is make it much more difficult to produce legitimate porn.

As I said above, you will be required to submit your personal and private information to whomever you perform for, who then in turn will be required to pass that information to every retail distributor and internet presence (like AEBN, NakedSword, Bijou Video, etc.) who will make the content available to the public in any manner.

If you go into your own production business, even on an amateur level, you will be required to collect and keep all the same info not only on yourself but for every single performer you use (girlfriend, other actors, etc.). If you do not distribute your content beyond your own website, you will not have to distribute this sensitive material. But be forewarned... once you produce and market your own content you fall under the rules and regulations of the Department of Justice, including making yourself open to inspections on behalf of the Department.

The way the law has been re-written, the DOJ has given itself the authority to conduct "inspections" of your records and searches of your record-keeping office without requiring notice or a search warrant. They also may sieze any property they feel is in violation of ANY Federal law without a warrant as well. Failure to comply or have your records in proper order carries a high fine and up to 5 years in prison.

You can learn more on the requirements of the 2257 revisions at the Free Speech Coalition website (Free Speech Coalition ), and by becoming a member you may be able to secure more shielding against the DOJ brown-shirts.

While I absolutely loved Clint's site and am excited about the prospect of a resurgence, I must admit I'm a wee bit skeptical at the moment about whether Cockzilla88 is the famous and awesome Clint who vanished without a trace many years ago. I just find it a smidge odd that the only pics he has after all these years are the same five that were posted on his original site more than five years ago. That, plus the name. I really hope I'm wrong because like everyone else, I'd love to see new material on him!
