Sugar or sugar substitute?
[post=288275]Quoted post[/post]

Since my brother was diagnosed as diabetic and my family is at risk for it, I've largely switched to using Splenda. It's better for me calorie-wise anyway.

'Innie' or 'outie'?

I want to answer a couple of questions...

sugar for some things, but I'm largely using Splenda now.

Salsa--mild or medium. I grew up in a household where mayonnaise was considered a spice LOL I don't handle a lot of heat well. I may be part Italian, but my people are all from the northern regions, and while we love a lot of flavor, but heat is not something that we readily take to. Give us garlic, basil, lemon, capers, etc. and we're happy.

It's hard to answer just one book. The Bible is the obvious answer. Proverbs 3:5-6 especially have guided me.

I also learned a lot from "The Color of Water" by James McBride.

An interesting book that I read for a workshop I was a part of was entitled "How to Think Theologically" which was about that we are all theologians, regardless of our ministerial training. Any action we do speaks to others and we need to think how our actions can convey hidden messages, and do our actions always match our words... a very intersting book

Also, "The Heart of the Artist", which being in church music focuses on the worship vs. performance aspect of church music. An interesting read.

What is your favorite board game?

Clue and Monopoly are my favourite board games.

Dipping oil or butter for your bread?

PS: I have to answer the book question. Anne Rice's 'Cry To Heaven.' I've read it about eight or nine times. It is about the castratti and is absolutely a beautiful novel. There are several passages in there that I have highlighted because they mean so much to me. Check it out!

I've got a couple of favorite chain restaurants--

The Cheescake Factory

Smith and Wollensky

The Capitol Grille

Chili's

Maggiano's

Harper's (which is a chain in NC/SC, but they also have on in Louisville)

Which chain restaurants do you hate?

I assume you are talking about in the 20th century? I would have to say the 30's and the 80's.

I am going to go maverick like Prepstud and answer another question as well...

In answer to my question it would be the bible but I think I am now going to ask...

What is your all time favorite book, and why?

Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet. I like the tolerance and optimism.

In terms of everyday use, what was your most important high school subject?

Considering I'm still in High School, and since I'm in an ensemble (usually a capella) I would have to say Chorus.

If this question was aimed at graduates, anyone else can feel fre to answer too.

Anyway, next question!

would you rather swim, ski, sled, or parasail?

hung_big: The Classic Harley's would do it for me, but I don't know much about motorcycles, so I'll leave you with that answer.

Do you own a gaming/platform system? (If so, which ones)

In general I'd have to say High Renaissance. Michelangelo is my fave, in particular his work in the Sistine Chapel.

Name a common dish that you order when eating out.

I love a little pan asian bistro near my job so I would have to say it is hot and sour soup.

Do you ever order kid's fast food meals for yourself? Is it for the size, the price or the toy? LOL!
