I have a good one for this, and I've used it several times. I like to con guys into trying on the strippers' outfits I make. It's so cute, they get embarassed, it's off the scales silly and usually gets them to look at me as a fun person. Works like a charm.

How old were you when you had your first kiss?

12 I think. Valerie, my next door neighbor.

Do you want to be buried or cremated when that time comes?

Cremated, after any usable parts are donated. I'll probably ask Julianna to scatter my ashes someplace she likes.

Are you early, late or right on time?

Speaking as a Funeral Director, I want a big funeral ceremony--no cremation here. No way, no how! However, I always thought that I wanted to go into the ground, but the more I think about it, I am considering having a private family mausoleum built and just going in there with my immediate family. However I decide, though, it WILL NOT be cremation. After you've seen a body be cremated, you'd never want it to happen to you. I'll stick with being embalmed and being preserved for years to come in my way too expensive cherry wood casket...spare no expense on me, because I can't take my money with me! LOL I'm going out in high style.

To answer Nixxy's question, I had been using Degree clear gel deodorant, but the store stopped carrying it, or else they don't make it anymore, so I switched brands and just bought Arm and Hammer clear gel--it seems to be working fine.

When you die, do you want people to send flowers or memorials? (I want a few flowers, but I prefer memorials) Can I answer my own question???

What are Drakes?

I think it's a regional thing, prepstudinsc. We southeast folks are missing out on that one, I believe.

Noticed in another thread that you're a funeral director. What an interesting career! Is it a family business or something you wanted to do for years (or did you just kind of fall into it)?

Passing the hostess vs. drakes question along....

Drakes Cakes aren't regional there, steve and prep.
[post=302523]Quoted post[/post]

I have to say that I've heard of them (maybe a reference on Seinfeld or something?), but never seen one (like UFO's I suppose).

AH! Just found this statement on their website:

Drake’s® has been providing the Northeastern United States with delicious snack cakes for over a century.

Interestingly enough, the same company owns the name Hostess, Dolly Madison, and Merita as well.

I'd bet there's a well-travelled snack cake lover who can tell us the best of the lot, though!

Drake's Cakes are a predominately Northern delicacy. They are difficult to find in The South. I like Drake's Devil Dogs because they are not as sweet as Hostess Ding Dongs. (hahaha I just said Ding Dong)

What would the title of your autobiography or biography be?

Hopefully, eventually it will be "My Life as an Ex-Patriot".

Jeep, how can you expect us to be so esoteric with that avatar to look at?

Prep, I've seen a couple cremations- we're really going to have to trade stories sometime.

What was the last concert you saw?

I can't remember which one was last (I saw them within the same year) but it was either Duran or Sting in San Diego. Both were pretty good concerts.

I hadn't heard of Drakes. I'll have to pay closer attention during my next grocery run since I live in the Northeast.

What was the last video/dvd that you rented?

I can't believe I am answering this... I have a low tolerance to alcohol. My last time being drunk... March 26... the weekend after I successfully defended my thesis for my doctorate.

What is your favorite type of flower?

Orchids definitely, so beatiful, rare and so much variety. My daughter likes to grow them sometimes.

I'd also never heard of Drakes cakes, must not have made it to southern Ohio.

How often do you floss?

Orchids are one of my favs, too. I also love Birds of Paradise. Yeah, exotic flowers (shut up, I am high maintenance, but don't you say it!).

I floss after every meal. I cannot help it. Creature of habit.

Looks like we are on this hygiene flare....

How often do you wash your hair? -- I wash mine daily (tends to be oily).

I have to go back and answer a couple of things here...

I have never heard of Drakes Cakes. Never seen them in a store here. I'll be in NYC in a little over a week, so I'll look for them. I've heard of Tastykakes, but never Drakes Cakes.

If the same company owns Dolly Madison (I have had Zingers before) and Hostess, and Merita (we have Merita bread here) I don't know why Drakes has not made it south of the Mason/Dixon line.

Zora--Yeah, since you were a cemeterian, I'm sure you've seen a lot of the same stuff I've seen and dealt with some of the same things I've had to deal with, too.

Favorite flower...#1. hydrangea, #2. Calla lily, #3. tie between roses and Gerber daisies
I'm around flowers a lot so I definitely have my favorites and those I can't stand.
Don't bring a Peace Lily near me or I'll throw it at you! The same goes for carnations and mums.

If I wrote an autobiography, I would title it "Diametrically Opposed" because everything in my life seems to be one extreme or the other...my life seems to be a lot of opposites, twists and turns, things that I would never have imagined, but it all makes up the interesting life that is mine and that just makes my mama shake her head. LOL

I know I should floss everyday, but sometimes I don't. I'm pretty good about doing it at least every other day, but I brush like 5 times a day, so I figure flossing isn't as big a deal.

What is your favorite pasta topping? Olive oil and garlic, butter and cheese, pesto, etc.?

I love pesto over cappellini.

Which do you prefer, shellfish or real fish?

BTW ... No Drakes here either. (In this neck of the woods, that's pronounced 'ee-ther', not 'eye-ther'. That should have been on the American English quiz as well.)
