    I tend to agree with Worthington's overview here:

    And for someone like Mitch McConnell, who is presumably intimately familiar with the basic framework of the government for which he has so long played a part, to publicly proclaim that the result of a trial by jury...the cornerstone of our system of jurisprudence...represents a disastrous failure, and that we should abandon it altogether is staggering.

    By that same token, Senator, I could argue that because the result of democratic elections have not resulted in an effective Congress that performed to anyone's expectations, we should be free to abolish the notion of Congress altogether and move to a benevolent dictatorship instead.

    Good point, God........but it's McConnell we're speaking of here the senility rate of congress goes up with every election.
