You describe your current state as "psychological torture". As someone who spent far too much time in such a state (for entirely different reason) I have to urge you to sack up and talk to her. There's an ancient saying that a coward dies a million deaths, a brave man but one. It applies here. And face it, so what if you aren't the best she's had?
