Trump spent months propagating the lie that his loss could only be the result of a "rigged" election. On the day of the riot, he spent an hour and thirteen minutes stoking up his followers' outrage with more lies about the "stolen" election, saying “our country has had enough,” “we will not take it anymore,” “stop the steal," "it’s time that somebody did something about it,” and "if you don’t fight like Hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.” He then directed the worked-up crowd to march on the Capitol, where they had no practical recourse to take action other than a violent attack.
If I'd been part of that crowd, I'd have felt pretty damn incited. Of course, you may feel differently, so it looks like our votes on impeachment cancel each other out.
I see! DEMs never stoke outrage in their Party or in the Public. Unlike the DEMs in many cases, Trump specifically urged order and peaceful protest. DEMs just are NOT used to a Republican urging angry peaceful protest like DEMs do often forgetting the peaceful part.

Democrats urge peaceful protest, and decry violence, all the time, particularly when it comes to racial inequality. It's part of that whole Martin Luther King legacy.
The difference is, they don't get people worked up over outright, self-serving lies.

The idea of Trump returning in four years should make *any* reasonable person afraid. And any responsible person should seek to prevent it.

Did you not know that, that in and of its self means nothing. The trial takes place in the Senate not the House of Representatives. Trump is no longer the President of the United States. There's been no trial in the Senate.

What do you hate him for? Being a career politician? Doing the job for free? His love of America? Wanting other countries to pay their fair share for our protection? Putting Americans and America first?

Don't get me started on the 400,000 American lives lost due to his incompetent response to the pandemic.
I fucking hate him and I hope he's feeling as shunned as he should have been for fucking decades. But he doesn't. He's rich, going to live the rest of his life comfortably. Even though he deserves to suffer, he won't.

Really? Like Portland and Seattle? Saying "fight like hell" means political fighting especially when specifically coupled with urging "peaceful protest." If the Supreme Court had any sense, they would have accepted the case and if there was nothing there, ruled against Trump.
Gosh all of this is mischaracterization of what he actually said and did. Do you ever listen to the other side or just the CNN MSNBC smears?
