The DEMs spent 4 years claiming the prior Presidential Election was not legit because voters were exposed to Russian propaganda. I've heard Soviet and then Russian propaganda, to say nothing of British, German and French propaganda all my life.

Foreign leaders love to make strategic comments that might effect our elections. Big deal. The Soviets even sponsored a political party in the USA: the CPUSA. They denied it, but all revealed after the Soviet Union fell.

The Brits installed massive propaganda machines in America to make sure we entered WWI and WWII on their side.

Some DEMs also objected to the Electoral College tallies. Insurrection? No, just hysterical partisan nonsense.

Trump was just trying to pressure Congress to refuse to Certify until various issues investigated, etc. No insurrection involved. Trying to provoke invasion of the Capitol would have made sense only to right and left extremists. Trump wanted to demonstrate to Congress that the people wanted a fair count, not attack Congress and provoke an opposite reaction.

There was real wrong doing alleged regarding vote tallies in some states and people ready to testify along with statistical evidence to be presented. The Courts didn't want to hear it because either they were DEMs in some cases or didn't want the responsibility. Chief Justice Roberts warned the Justices: "Do you want to be responsible for riots, looting and burning all across the country. Stay out of it!" Dereliction of duty.

The DEM populated media kept saying "baseless", but what they were saying was baseless.

Chugged, hell maybe he mainlined that batch.

You better hope the coming DEM packed Supreme Court doesn't outlaw hate speech!

I actually don't oppose hate speech. We should hate tyranny and express it. Credible threats of course are outlawed.

Too bad some people are confused about who the tyrants are, however.

You don’t seem to understand how the judiciary works. Might I suggest some remedial civics education?

I didn't say they weren't within their rights. Just irresponsible. To maintain faith in the system they needed to hear the arguments and evidence and then rule, exactly what the dissenting Justices Thomas and Alito said.

It appears the Senate is preparing to go ahead with the trial, so I assume any involvement by the Supreme Court would be after the fact, on appeal. Unless there's already a movement afoot I'm not aware of.

Yeah, I would guess there would be an appeal after conviction.

The courts refused to hear the evidence. Never heard the arguments.

Trump and his legal team took their best shot, over and over, and got nowhere. You can say it was because of the incompetence and/or malfeasance of everyone who stood in judgment; some may find that argument convincing. In any case, it's a done deal.

Yeah, most likely. Unless the Q-tards are right and there's going to be a pro-Trump military coup in March. . . no, I don't believe it nor support such a thing.

Trump's speech was only an interminable extension of the complaints he'd made for the previous two months. The entire protest only occurred because of his refusal to concede and continuous calls for resistance.

As for maga-disguised leftists, that must have been a neat trick, since so many of the Capitol invaders were unmasked and have already been identified as right-winged extremists. But feel free to share your proof.

Obviously, it had to be Nancy Pelosi. She knew she'd be safe amidst that crowd. : unamused:

So now *Mitch McConnell* is a bleeding-heart libtard Communist fellow traveller?

Gotta love the way the goalposts keep getting moved! :yum

Just further evidence of the mentality at play within that cult. The beauty of "alternate realities" is that they can make up s-------- on the fly.

They did far more than take their best shot. Every NEW revelation, demonstrating the EXTENT of their depravity:

Breaking News: Donald Trump and Justice Dept official plotted to oust acting AG to push his big lie!

Trump campaign used shell companies to provide funds and support for Jan. 6 pre-insurgency rally

^^^ And the ABOVE ain't the HALF OF IT. The following ARTICLE takes a closer look at all that may / must have occurred prior to the January 6 attempted coup. It bears reading in its ENTIRETY :

Below are excerpts parts of which I've bulleted for brevity:

I’ve said from the beginning that what happened on January 6th was an attempted coup d’état. (An autogolpe, to be precise.) Not only have I never been fooled by That Shitstain’s bullshit — what he was saying was crystal clear — I’ve also read Luttwak and could plainly see that none of it was spontaneous.

Much had obviously been done to allow the mob every opportunity to overcome security at the Capitol. The claim that what transpired was an “intelligence failure” is weak sauce.

  • On any other day in DC, a protest rally — or even a children’s event — at The Ellipse would have seen legions of security.... all over the area. Nobody would be allowed to approach wearing heavy backpacks, or carrying flagpoles (or baseball bats!) in the crowd.
  • Who ensured that security wasn’t there? That the Secret Service would overlook all that?
  • it has since become clear that the majority of the Capitol and Metropolitan Police struggled heroically against huge odds. The actions of a shitty few bad cops to aid the mob could not have been counted on by plotters. The overall posture of that force is another matter.
  • Some 50 DHS agents had been assembled, in tactical gear, inside the Ronald Reagan Building several blocks from the Capitol. Closer to The Ellipse
  • why were they kept there well after the Capitol had been breached, and Trump had gone home to chuckle about it all unfolding before him on television? They knew that the Capitol was under attack, and were hollering for orders to move to its defense. They were denied.
  • Who kept them in place?
  • Both Patel and Ellis were top aides to Devin Nunes before they joined the NSC. Ellis is the person who squirrelled away the transcript of the “perfect call” in the double-super-secret filesystem at the NSC. Both went to great lengths to besmirch the Mueller investigation.
  • Was that Medal of Freedom for Nunes meant to stiffen up his wobbly legs as showtime rapidly approached?
  • This week we learned that Miller had ordered General Paul Nakosone, the NSA director, to appoint Ellis as general counsel by five pm on Saturday. Apparently, he resisted beyond that deadline....Keep in mind that the NSA had been slow-walking this for two months already.
  • That’s how egregious was this appointment. It’s a position which provides a view on everything that NSA is doing. Not only is it unusual for a president to appoint someone to that role so late, it’s traditionally understood that it is not a position for political appointees, especially not an operator like Michael Ellis.
  • What were they up to?
  • I think the goal... was to have them in place for that rally, not to carry them over to a coming administration that was rejected out of hand. Them, and others. In the case of Ellis, perhaps, ensuring that nobody was onto their treacherous scheme.
  • Finally, we come to The Washington Post’s revelation that Michael Flynn’s own brother was in the room, in his capacity of deputy chief of staff for operations for the US Army, when Chief Sund was frantically calling on the Pentagon to send the National Guard to the Capitol yet being rebuffed. He told them that shots had been fired inside the Capitol!
  • And yet, the Pentagon denied him assistance.

LOCK... THE... FKS... UP!

Blinkered and brain washed - well would be if you had one.
The Russian investigation was not to overturn the election but to find out what links there were to Trump. And there were links, family meetings etc.
Which countries made remarks to try and influence the elections, its beyond the wit of any leader to express an opinion on another countries democratic process - not that it stopped Trump.
Have you ever heard of Pearl Harbour. I suggest you google it and then maybe you'll find out why the USA entered WWII
Which democrats were unhappy with the electoral college tallies, seems that as the tallies were going in their direction that would have been foolish Buit you did have the gop screaming.
Trump was trying to pressure every court, governor and election official to make claims the election was rigged without a shred of evidence. Hi reason being that one opinion poll, probably Fox News, had him as the winner
But as well all know opinion polls can be wrong, as they were in 2016.
Trump wanted to show Congress that he was able to muster a festering angry mob fuelled by his likes to "take back" the election, and to hold that rally at the same time as Congress was about to state Biden was the President Elect. Then, as the Capital was besieged, ransacked and violated he watched the event unfold for two hours before say, go home we love you - 5 deaths, one a policeman murdered.
No Governor, state official or election officer was ankle to show any evidence whatso ever to the courts to warrant a hearing let alone have a court case - in fact the opposite as the election was declared to have been without incident. And declared so by a Trump appointee.
If you weren't beyond reasoning I could feel sorry that for the next four years all this hate and imagined injustice is going to fester away in your innards, and come the next election you'll be obit with the TRUMP GOP claiming, well before the election that its going to be rigged, that all the news is fake and all the rest of the world is against the new TRUMPGOP
That's unless the GOP finally come to their senses and return to the true values and ditch Trump and his rabid family into he swamp

To see hate you need to look in a mirror. The DEM Party and media has been obsessed hating Trump for no significant reason all along.

Trump isn't stupid enough to have expected a rag tag comical breach of the Capitol like what happened to keep him in the Presidency. Clearly, he wanted a demonstration to Congress that 10s of thousands of his supporters were in the street peacefully demanding an investigation of the alleged vote fraud.

Clearly, the comical chaos served the DEMs, not Trump.

Nonsense! If any crime or collusion of significance had be found Trump would have been impeached and removed from office.

Weird how the DEM Left doesn't like to mention the unarmed woman shot dead by the police. Has he been prosecuted yet?

The election issue had already been settled by the courts; Biden was about to be confirmed as Presdent-elect by Congress that very day. Any thought of further investigation was, if not stupid, at least hopelessly naive.

Clearly, the comical chaos served the DEMs, not Trump.

We can agree there. When you do something horribly wrong, and it fails, your opponents generally come off looking better for it.

By the way, I'd venture you see more comedy in the Capitol assault than most.

You really want Trump's warp speed vaccination? An mRNA type vaccination that has never been approved before nor tested for long term effects. I'd say the vaccination is the most reckless thing Trump has done, maybe the only really reckless thing.

There's where we should look for corruption, either financial or political. Big Pharma pretty much dictates to politicians. They can easily nix legal attacks on Trump and grant financial relief.

Good to remember that Trump was supportive of Robert Kennedy Jr's campaign for vaccination safety until Big Pharma "got to him."
You have no idea of what you speak. There was an outbreak of a novel coronavirus in 2002. It was eventually named SARS. It is a corona virus. They have been working on a vaccine since its outbreak in 2002. SARS eventually was contained. MERS, another corona virus, emerged in 2012. The research on vaccines continued. mRNA vaccines have been worked on for over a decade. Trump's "warp speed" had nothing to do with that.
