So I've been pumping for years, and about 6 months ago, I foolishly overpumped, and a series of blisters occurred. After they healed, I returned to pumping a bit too quickly I believe.

Ever since, there has been discoloration of my glans where the blisters occurred. If this was the only symptom, I wouldn't have an issue. But where the discoloration is on my glans stings when touched. The stinging sensation is very mild, but it's there regardless. I have halted all pumping ever since (again, 6 months ago). the discoloration has not faded, and neither has the stinging sensation. I worry I may have permanently damaged my glans in my enthusiasm for pumping.

I do plan on seeing a doctor shortly, but maybe there is someone who had a similar issue, or has medical knowledge on how to heal this? I have no loss in sexual function or satisfaction, and I do not really feel any stinging sensation when aroused, no matter how much friction there is. I still worry this might become worse as time goes on, and I would rather see what can be done to fix this issue now.

Please do not lecture about how evil pumping is. I understand my mistakes, and it wasn't not simply pumping that caused this issue. It was constant high pressure without rest and not enough time to heal.

I have tried vitamin E lotion, and it seems to only provide temporary relief from the stinging sensation. are the cells of the glans simply skin cells? what other over-the-counter things could i try to help heal my glans?

Over the years, I've had the occasional broken capillary, which resulted in a tiny "bruise" for a week or two until the blood re-absorbs, but never had it occur on the glans. I'd be interested to learn what you find out from the doctor - but I suspect that the surface of the glans is just skin - without sweat glands, hair follicles, etc. - and that your injury will eventually fix itself without any permanent effects. The penis is pretty robust, thank goodness!

The glans is made up of mucosa tissue. This is the same type of tissue found inside the lining of the mouth and throughout the intestinal tract. When circumcised this tissue becomes dried and has less sensitivity.

Study the Glans on google. The nerve endings all end up at the head of your dick, that's why it's extremely sensitive.
Please see your doctor. Let us know what happens. good luck to you.

I used to blister my glans all the time

once the glans becomes blistered you’ll forever be susceptible to blistering in the future

what I did to avoid any further blistering is I bought a larger cylinder

small cylinders cause glans blisters to occur more frequently
