I would say this OP kind of fails on the 4th rule of the Politics forum rules.

Are liberals considered an identifiable group? If so not only would flame80 be violating rule 3 of the politics forum, it would be violating part of rule 3 of the general rules, which is, at least in my opinion, been also already been violated by him, via trolling.

As for the OP, again, a more appropriate place would probably be the funny stuff section in my opinion. Though I'm not sure how much the regulars of that forum would enjoy bringing a political thread in there, even if the point is (at least how I see it) supposed to be humorous.

And for his questions
1.) A healthy workforce is a more productive workforce. Less income a person spends on health care is more income that other businesses could possibly prosper from.

2.) Not really, I wish less money was being spent.

3.) Things Obama has done… | The Best Article Every day I'm sure you don't consider many of those things 'good', but I would be amazed if you couldn't find at least 3 that you thought were positive. And I'll be the first to admit that things on the list aren't really definitive things, I just don't feel like sorting through them.

4.) That is a matter of perspective and opinion. And one could argue fear mongering tactics were effectively used to shift things. Like I said, it's a matter of perspective and opinion.

I still find the Glenn Beck Generator one of the more amusing political jokes I've found on the Internet. The nonsensical pseudo rhetoric it generates is extremely good satire.

Unfortunately, there are posters to LPSG who are not just cranky ideologues, but also -- my opinion from reading their rants -- are seriously mentally ill.

I avoid calling others "you dumbasses" as flame80 found necessary in link #16. However, that particular poster has gone out of his way to denigrate and insult anyone who doesn't walk lock-step with him. Maybe it's because he lives in Fullerton, CA. I don't know. But regardless of his behavior, I have yet to see the moderators, in this case our highly valued Aconitum, do anything about folks who display such hatred and spew so much vitriol, despite the "new" and "special" rules for the political forum.

I've been called "a dried up old faggot", "asshole", "stupid piece of shit", "dumb fucker", "fucking liar", and many other things. Yet, the moderators seem to think this is all well and good. Sigh. I don't expect the world to be fair, but I do expect the moderators to follow and take action when it comes to their own fantasies of what they expect the rest of us to follow. Sorry, boys and girls. You're dropping the ball(s), as it were.

I seriously want to know... has the need for this forum to have a "different opinion" become so great that the rest of us have to put up with people like flame80 who hasn't even formulated one post without obvious antagonizing slander, a barrage of spelling and grammar mistakes, and a deliberate need to deflect and ignore the facts? Actually (to those who commented) the reason the moderators have done nothing official within this thread is because it is currently being discussed and no matter how much some people would love us to act on impulse and do as we wish (when it suits them ofc) that simply isn't how it's done.

My original post to this thread in no way means the discussion within the mod forum is over, and it is no reflection of any action we may or may not take with regards to this thread when the discussion is over.

The thread is being monitored and rest assured, anything that needs to be discussed will be discussed.

Until a decision can be made by majority vote however, I suggest anyone taking issue with anyone else within this thread (not directed at you specifically) put said "individual" on ignore so that we can all avoid feeling the need to sink to other peoples levels.

Thank you Miss administrator for being a very reasonable person that knows what a message board is for. Its for everyone to come up here write whatever is on their minds, even if its liberal or conservative but I do know this message board is not for just one side of an issue. Dont worry though, I dont care if they want to just ignore me, thats thier option.
