BTW, some food for thought. There's no requirement that says that "all views must be respected". Keep in mind, if your view or opinion has no regard or respect towards the person or thing you want to talk about, then why should they in turn be "respectful" of what you have to say since you already disrespected them? If your initial thought or action is geared to piss someone off, to turn around and then ask for respect is highly hypocritical.
With that said... Beck is a mental case. It has nothing to do with whether or not he's a conservative. Contrary to belief, LPSG is not a breeding ground for blind, rabid liberalism. It's not as if anyone couldn't mention a noted Conservative, such as Colin Powell for example, and people who lean to the left will automatically attack them. Unlike Beck, Powell knows how to articulate his opinions in a more civilized and intellectual matter that doesn't demonize or unfairly chastises others. When people go after those like Glenn Beck, it's usually the individual and not his or her political affiliation that is under scrutiny. Case in point, most of the Conservatives I know ALSO think Glenn Beck is a raving lunatic. That should be a clue as to his relevance and validation in society. Because of that, I'll never be "respectful of his views" since he sure as hell doesn't give a damn about anyone differing from himself. And he's expressed those bigoted views on Fox News and his radio show more than I could ever express my beliefs on a message board about big dicks.
