I agree, good link.

However, after all this time, since the 180 degree turn of Arianna Huffinton from a neoconservative scare bitch neo conservative commentator to a leading progressive almost left-wing cheer leader. . . well, I'm still in shock and not just a little bit suspicious.

The Huffington Post actually comes across as quite respectable and the writers who submit their opinions are frequently well-centered and make good, supportable arguments. But still -- Arianna Huffington?

I'm having far too hard of a time forgetting the evil she and her Beard of a husband, Michael Huffington, supported anything/everything Reagan and anti gay while he played the role of the "I'm more conservative than you" Republican card. Then Michael comes out in 1998 announcing he's bisexual with the meter more often in the homosexual side of the dial. They divorce. And then both of them remodel their public images. Most amazing of all, Michael Huffington throwing lots of money (in the millions) to LGBT causes, including an LGBT fellowship program at Standford. Yet, he is still drinking from the fountain of Log Cabin syrup. Still a Republican.

But back to Arianna and her Post. Either she had some amazing, life-changing "vision" or it's still just a scam. Still, the writing is rather good, the writer's are credible, and the muck they rake is verifiable.

Who knew?

EDIT: By the way, the last time God and I had a really good coffee klatch he recommended I buy Ford stock. That was back in August, 2008. It was kind of her to give me such a good trading tip. I can't remember if I sent her flowers or not, so I think I'll just go plant some trees.

Excellent piece, Slurper. A must read.

It really shows how the media have not only completely shirked their responsibility to bring us important information and deliver it objectively, they, more than anyone else, are the drivers of all the insanity.

Related to that, while visiting the site I also noticed this:
"Pew's survey also illustrated how many Americans are headed to their own corners in cable news viewing and radio listening. Eighty-four percent of people in liberal MSNBC talk show host Keith Olbermann's audience say they approve of President Barack Obama's job performance, with 80 percent of Rachel Maddow's audience saying the same thing.
At the same time, 7 percent of conservative Sean Hannity's Fox News Channel viewers and 9 percent of Rush Limbaugh's listeners say Obama is doing a good job, the survey said. Three quarters of Limbaugh, Hannity and Glenn Beck's audiences identify themselves as tea party supporters.
Forty percent of Republicans say they watch Fox News Channel regularly, compared to 18 percent a decade ago, a strong factor in the network's popularity, Pew said."

God has spoken to me and instructed me to go to Florida and burn down the church that is planning to burn the Koran.
Hopefully the members of the church will leave the property. No one wants another David Koresh situation.
"Evil thrives when good men do nothing" and I am willing to put my life on the line to obey this call.
I ask for your prayers.
I suspect that none of the church members have loved ones serving in the armed services. Their actions are endangering the lives of Americans who are fighting to preserve and protect their sorry asses. It is an outrage!

I think actions threatening Americans are invading & blowing up other countries, & trying to put a boot to their throat over their natural resources.

And of course the media. A nutter with 50 followers is not national news.

Who give's a flying fuck! Why is the West so scare to say BOO to a Muslim, when they(the media) jeer & crucify Christians:rolleyes:. It's not like Muslims don't kill hundreds to thousands of Christians in Pakistan & India each year, & burn down churches - which is a lot worse!

If only a few Muslims are hotheads, there's nothing to worry about - & if more are, well then, we'd know.

Technically, isn't an English language version of the Koran blasphemous, & so the very fundamentalists objecting to such firing up a holy book, are fucking thick?

They like burning blasphemous things. I saw them burning the Stars & Stripes again too, which probably gets the same percentage of US citizens hotheaded too.

I didn't hear any appeals for calm from imams or leaders, to prevent the possibility of arousing America's wrath!
