Pat Robertson: God is Using I-35 to Rid USA of Gay Sin​

[/URL]According to Pat Robertson, God is using superhighway I-35 that runs from Canada to Mexico through the midwest to purify America from sin. He says "I-35 is the highway spoken of in Isaiah 35:8 - "And a highway will be there; it will be called the way of holiness."

So, evangelical Christians have set aside 35 days to use the cities around I-35 to rid America of sin, meaning "abortion clinics, gay bars, strip joints, and porn shops." God is using "purity sieges" to set America free.

And they're apparently working - homosexuals, like James Stabile, a drunk gay who stumbled across a purity siege, was cured when a pastor touched him and yelled "Fire!"

Stabile: "I didn't feel the desires to be with men like I felt before." Shazam!

The rest of Isaiah 35:8 says that "No sinner will ever travel that road, no fools will mislead those who follow it." I guess Pat Robertson had to leave that part out, since it clearly indicts him as someone who is not to be followed.

I'm not sure why Pat is so full of hate. All of his followers are being mislead. These rich fundamentalist Christians are in deeper sin than the prostitutes and sexual perverse people they condemn to hell.

I believe that when one is truly union with God, one does what Mother Theresa and Ghandi had done: to show nothing but loving compassion.

I think in order to be "one with god" you have to still question things but beleave that there is a reason for whats happening and that everything works out okay. You don't have to be following blindly or always happy, even Mother T had doubts (I created a thread about that some time ago).

I agree. But, loving compassion always prevails in those who truly love God. In what way is Pat Robertson helping humanity, or showing that he is truly enlightened?

A life devoted to the poor and dying is something that one can only do in union with the higher being.

One can think things are morally wrong without being judgmental. Mother Theresa never forced conversion on anyone. If she helped a hindu die a peaceful death, a hindu funeral he had.

It's probably inappropriate for me to discuss her on a site like this, but I would kneel at her feet if she were alive today. I would have done the same if she would have been a hindu or a buddhist.

After I meditate, I always feel more loving compassion for others. But, Bigbull29 is anything but a saint.:redface:
