'tis a stupid site meant to be funny and also take the piss out of Chrisians (it's Good Friday... let's all think about what Jesus did)

of course the Bible says homosexuality is a sin.. does that mean they're any more sinners than the rest of us? No. The Bible also says God loves all of us, and therefore hates no-one. Remember not to hate, even if you don't believe in God.

Good suggestion. It is a stupid site and I wish it was a joke but those people are for real.

seriously, why has nobody shot or at least attacked this guy and his incestuous family / congregation yet?  it doesn't add up.  I know it would technically be against the law, but I can't believe that in all these years NOBODY has gotten pissed off enough to at least try.

Dr. Rock, I do understand how you feel. Think about me and Jacinto and many others on this site that openly confess a belief in Jesus. This man preaches the opposite of what we believe. Jesus taught love, compassion, integrity. forgiveness. Jesus was not the author of hate.

So I appreciate your absolute horror that such as this continues. Your chigrin is even stronger among those of us who have had what we believe totally distorted beyond recognition what we believe.

I can understand judging from this crap why you have reservations about organized religion. This guy makes a mockery of who Jesus was and what he taught.

But I also don't understand why something hasn't been done. I know we have freedom of religion, but this guy needs someone to take him down a notch or two.

Generally I don't believe in a literal devil, but this guy makes me reconsider my thinking on that subject.

So if you go by the word sodomy... then it's not just homosexuals. It's anybody who has anal or oral sex. This includes MANY heterosexuals, unless I'm mistaken.
So the focus on homosexuals is because???
[post=293610]Quoted post[/post]
If they mentioned heterosexuals, they wouldn't have much of an audience. And if you look at that definition, a lot of homosexual activity doesn't fall under sodomy; of course, the Phelpies probably have a problem with circle-jerkers too.

That's nice!

There are also over 300 references to molds and mildews in the Old Testament, so why do only the few words about homosexuality get noticed?

Heh. You reminded me of this quote:

"The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision. --Lynn Lavner"

spoolworm: You've got to wonder why someone hates homosexuality that much that he feels the need to start an entire campaign. I mean, denial anyone?

When people are that homophobic you got to wonder. I mean I put down the 10% gay in my profile and I probably don't even think about gay sex as much in a year as these guys do in a day.

One thing I always people who make homophobic remarks: "80% of people who are overtly homophobic at school later find out that they are gay."

The 80% I invented, but it makes people believe it easier. I like making people angry. :) Especially the Jesus Squad, not regular christians but the brand that think God loves them that little bit extra.

In the bible homosexual rape is condemned, consensual homosexual relationships aren't even mentioned. For the record: God judges people, and people who think they have the right to judge people think they are God. And that is called blasphemy.

Anyway, I'm an atheist so what do I know about the bible. ;)

You know more about the Bible in what you just posted, then some who have spent a lifetime misinterpreting it. You aren't a bad teologean. And you know enough to separate those of us who are true Chrisitans and follow Jesus's examples from the fundies and hate groups that say they are Christian. That means a lot to me that you know the difference.

Thanks. I respect your right to believe their is no God. I'm sure you have a theory how the universerse was able to devlop itself with harmony.

Thanks for posting. I can deal with atheists with your attitude anyday before I will well with those "others - fundies - hate others Christians." You don't hate. In the end, if I am right about God, you might get the shock of your life, when you get in and some of those "others" don't.

I don't even think 100% gay men think about ass-ramming as much as the Phelpies. ;)

@Freddie53:
I think the dualism of Christian and Islamic theology lends itself to fundamentalism. Blame Iran; it's Zarathustra who came up with this dualistic theology.

Jonb! I don't think I've ever heard you make a more...well...thick comment. What you just was a form of discrimination. "Blame Iran; it's Zarathustra...". No! Don't blame Iran, blame Zarathustra...he's the cause for it. It's like blaming Isrealites for everything wrong that comes of Christianity, because Jesus was born in Isreal. Not a very wise choice of words. You don't blame a country or race, but only the person.

Of course, chances are, I will probably get proven wrong, but I didn't think that was a very fair comment to make.

I don't remember the Proper Nouns of movements and people like I used to. Are you refering to the ancient Persian religion where there was the belief that there were two equal Gods - one good and one evil? Accordoing to liberal theologians the conept of the devil in the Old and New Testaments came from this ancient religion. Otherwise I will have to eat humble pie and say I don't know who this guy is. Let me know. For sure I know what I wrote about the ancient Persian religion is true. I just don't know what it was called.

I do know that I believe that God is grieved at fundamental theology regardless which religion it is found in.

While your comment about ass ramming was to spoolworm, you are probalby correct. If the truth be known this guy is either a grand opportunist who uses what ever commodity he can use to get a following or he is gay and would either love to be rammed or do the ramming. I suggest we do the ramming. Does anyone have a 21 inch very thick dildo? I think that should work just fine. Maybe enough guys can be pulled from the flesh pile to hold the "Most Right Reverend" down for a real good ass fucking with the dildo of course. No lube. Saving money.
*Freddie, you know better than that but.....*

I think the "no lube" is a good idea, we wouldn't want him to enjoy it too much. As big of an ass as he is, a 21'' very thick dildo might be just his style.

I just wish I had as much nasty, filthy, degrading sex as THEY think I do. Why is it they are more interested in my bedroom habits than I am? Methinks they have an "identity" problem? :grr:

I came across the passage of Scripture just moments ago:

“We must all die; we are like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up. But God will not take away a life; he will devise plans so as not to keep an outcast banished forever from his presence” (2 Samuel 14:14).

My oh my and this is from the OLD TESTAMENT!!!
So God will divise a plan so that Reverand will get to go to heaven after all. Of course he may be assigned to the Gay Condo section there.

Or maybe the Madame Zora will be his neighbor. Nah, God promised Jana a wonderful life after death. She won't be the REVEREND"S neighbor after all.

There is bound to be a place smewhere for the REVERAND, God has gone off and promised it. And all the other sinners will be there too. May oh My what a God we have after all; gone off and promised a plan for all outcasts. God must be a loving God after all.

This will come as a shocker to the fundies. They are going to have to share heaven with all the other sinners down here too. WE are trying to keep it a secret from the fundies, but all are sinners according to the Bible. God is going to provide a plan were even the worst outcast can go to heaven and be with him. This is a little bit unsettling for some.

Oh well. at least heaven is a big place, room for all. Says so even in the Old Testament.

Since we are picking and choosing I've selected the above passage as one of mine to follow. So God is going to provide a plan for all to get to heaven. Now really what did you expect? After all God said we were all his children. And he is the perfect Father. No real big surprise here.

Yep. Ahura Mazda and Angra Mainyu. Even the same avian and ophidian imagery. Until 70 BC, Satan was a job description; he was God's DA. Around 70 BC, The Life of Adam and Eve was written; no one accepts it as canon, but the idea of Satan in rebellion (maybe not for being commanded to worship Adam, but still in rebellion) came about. So they also merged him with the serpent of Genesis.

The serpent himself was originally a trickster figure. Tricksters are common in world mythology. Most often they're a dangerous animal you might not even notice, such as a snake; or a predator which lets its prey come to it, such as a spider. But in any mythology, they're not completely evil, just untrustworthy. They also have more finesse; sometimes they even trick themselves.

There were a lot of other pagan influences on Christianity, if you're interested. Old deities often became local saints, winter solstice festivals became Christmas, and vernal equinox festivals became Easter.

Indeed, it was from the pulpit at church I learned that as a gay man, I was supposed to have anonomous sex with 5 to 6 different men each and every night. I guess I've failed as a gay man, since it takes a good night at the occasional orgy to live up to the Reverend's expectations.

Damn, your preacher was an active dude in his day. Preachers love to talk about personal experiences. Sucks, after church you two probably could have hooked up for a gay old time. Pardon the pun there. Sounds like you could have learned a lot from this preacher.

There is a reason the preacher knows so much about the subject. Of course by now he probably is too old to get tricks so he preaches against them. No slame on old folks here. I am getting old myself.

But if the church finds out, he can always go and be the pimp for a gay bar, Sounds like he has the qualifications.
