I'm 49 and for past 2-3 years my penis has been feeling less sensitive and more numb. I have morning wood less, have less desire to masturbate but think about sex a lot. It's not as easy to get hard like I used to before and now it usually requires the sight of an erect cock to get hard. When I'm with a guy I have no problem remaining hard and I cum loads because it has built up over the week. I used need to wank every night and now I never wank as the desire never is there. It feels sometimes as if my whole groin area is more numb. When I do cum it's not as pleasurable as it once was and there is zero tingling sensation. I feel envious when I read the younger guys on here talking about their orgasms and constant need for sex.
I have attributed it to so many things - the covid vaccine, the age factor, testosterone, underlying medical condition, too much cycling, a potential STD that I amn't aware of that has destroyed the brain, sitting too long on the loo and resultant nerve damage, a minor stroke.
Finally I plucked up the courage to consult with a urologist. I'm going to see him next week but don't know what he'll be able to do especially if it's an underlying medical condition. Maybe he'll just say to me that this is owing to age but at 49 I feel too young to lose sensitivity. It's actually very depressing as it feels like that part of my life is over and I love sex. Any advice anyone? What might the urologist test?
