Good news, Airport screeners can find liquids.

I was coming back from Vegas and when I went through the x-ray machine the lady asked if she could check my backpack. I had forgotten to throw out a water bottle (1/3 full) that I had brought with me. They were very nice about it and said that I could go back out and drink it if I wanted. I told her she could throw it out because I had meant to toss it, but it slipped my mind trying to find the correct terminal.

I had heard a recent blurb on the news that they are not screening liquids correctly. It's good to know that at least that they can.

It wasn't that the had issues finding liquids, it was that they could find liquids and foods but not (fake) bombs.

In my carry on luggage I did have things that looked like a bomb. My Mini-DV Camcorder, my GPS with a stand and, and my Sirius radio with yards of antenna wires and cigarette adapter plug.
