About time.

I hope you have also left whatever small town you lived in for someplace with more opportunity.

I know right?

Nope. Still here. A position opened up which I had assumed never would. The second I heard about it, I jumped, and I got it.

Still with my guy, who you told me I should leave. Oh, he's going back to school as well.

We aren't planning on moving anytime soon, but maybe now we'll be able to if we do make that decision.

I officially resigned from my coffee shop today. I worked there for 9 years. It was a whole lot more difficult than I thought it would be. I'm still drying my eyes.

It's time to move on, to better things in my life. I'm gonna fucking miss my coworkers, and my regular customers.

Time for a tattoo. I feel a blooming coffee plant is the plan. Maybe on my left calf muscle.

*Grabs lighter*

Wow...
Wishing you the very best . I 100% agree about how hard it is to leave , particularly work mates , and regular customers . Freaked me out momentarily , as i thought you were leaving us . Had to pull a bong and calm down . ( any excuse ) . All good , as i said , all the best , for everything that you do . S.H.

On to the next chapter of your work life. It is always a sad time when you leave a job where you have built a close bond with your customers and coworkers. I found this to be true when I retired after working at the same store for many years. You can always stop by for a visit with the coworkers when you have time, as you have not left the town. You may also see you regular customers on these short visits, I have found this to be true in my case. Most important best wishes with your new employment.

Congrats. I've been at my current job 18 years. There are days I would quit in a heartbeat. But as I am in my late 50s in a tech field, I need to keep my job until I find something else more lucrative, either monetarily and/or satisfactorily.
