You can't really compare what Clinton did decades ago with what happens now. Gay rights have come a long way since then, going backwards seems criminal.
Not if you embrace the party of the pro-fetus.

Sorry, I have no idea what your coded words mean. The life issue transcends partisan politics which is why there are pro-life Democrats and pro-abortion Republicans.

Let's make it as plain as possible:

He plays on a false stereotype. And he's dead. Nuff said.

'...he's dead'? And so what?

And while you call it "false stereotype". I call it cognitive dissonance in most cases.

Sorry, about the closest Jesus ever got to mentioning sex and human sexuality is this metaphor:
'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh” (Mark 10:6–8).

And with all due respect to Jesus' rhetorical abilities, this is metaphor, not fact: it's temporary--there is no permanent physical genital union or physical coalescence--imagine trying to go bowling if two actually did become one flesh! Also, I think even Jesus may have known that there's more than one way for two to become one flesh--the passage is an allusion to only one of them...

It would be great, so long as you can throw out the low score.

I think your thread title is a bit misleading. While the GOP in Texas might be wasting their time pursuing this, the GOP where I live and our Republican governor are not.
My governor isn't planning anything of the sort. You're the ignorant one. You're also ignorant if you think candidates are beholden to every plank in their party's platform. HINT: they're not.

Delegates to the Illinois GOP convention are retaining a plank in the party’s platform that defines marriage to be between a man and a woman.
An overwhelming majority – 80 percent of 978 delegates – agreed Friday in Peoria that the official state Republican Party platform read the “ideal environment for children is within a two-parent family based on the principle of marriage between one man and one woman.”

Ryan Higgins from Schaumburg pushed for a plank that would acknowledge same-sex marriages, supposedly in order to make the platform more appealing to moderate Republicans.

“But during a debate on the issue, the crowd constantly booed Higgins, with some yelling at him to ‘go home,’” says the news report. “Many in the audience proudly wore bright yellow buttons that said ‘Marriage: One Mom, One Dad.’”

Gov. Bruce Rauner (R) refused to take a position on the issue of marriage, leaving the matter to the delegates to decide.

And the Governor has done nothing on this, nor will he. He's got real issues to worry about, mainly the way in which the corrupt Democrats in the Legislature have bankrupted this state. Oh, and there's the issue of violence in the state's largest city, also run by a corrupt and inept Democrat.
