Does the Vaccine Matter? - The Atlantic (November 2009)
There is a lot more good, scientific stuff in here. Don't believe the hype. The FDA is against real tests and data gathering.
It's called regulation capture. The FDA is OWNED by big pharma now.
Hang on while i go grab my tin foil hat....
There are many diseases that have been nearly irradicated thanks to vaccines.
i dont think everything is a conspiracy.

As much as I dislike Big Pharma, I owe the fact that I'm still alive to the medications I take everyday, all approved by the FDA.
The next few generations of treatments for HIV are in the pipeline right now, being tested by pharmaceuticals and eventual approval by the FDA. They give hope to millions.
Would you say that Small Pox vaccines are also hype? Would you have been against it when it first came out? Probably.
You must be at h1n1 ground zero then, because only 1000 people have been "confirmed"* dead from swine flu in the US, that only affords 20 per state, or 1 per 350,000, so the chances of a couple of people dying in your "town" is pretty low.I got my daughter the shot because a couple of people in our town have died from h1n1. I figured she is my only child, if there was some remote chance it would save her life, i'd rather not be burrying her.
how did the FDA respond:A division of the pharmaceutical company Bayer sold millions of dollars of blood-clotting medicine for hemophiliacs -- medicine that carried a high risk of transmitting AIDS -- to Asia and Latin America in the mid-1980's while selling a new, safer product in the West, according to documents obtained by The New York Times.
I hope you read both articles I posted. It's not a conspiracy to suggest companies care more about their bottom line than they do about you. Especially if they can peddle some shit hyped up on the news.MAY 1985 -- The Food and Drug Administration realizes that companies are still selling unheated concentrate overseas. F.D.A. official wants problem ''quietly solved without alerting the Congress, the medical community and the public,'' according to Cutter documents.
The FDA does suck, that I agree with.
Smoking is bad right? Well, China is manufacturing E-Cigarettes, which deliver nicotine with NO SMOKE, no bad chemicals and it actually only produces water vapor.
So what does the FDA do? They're pushing to ban the things, which could potential save lives! They also distort "findings" in that they found a trace chemical in like, 1 out of 20 samples and they claim they're all dangerous now.
It's an obvious big media hype job. And having Sebelious on big media defending the big media hype job is just the big incestuous hype machine doing it's thing. I didn't get an answer from Sebelious.... I just got some snyde remarks. I want to know, why is the media playing up swine flu like it is the coming of the apocalypse, when it is really just a fucking strain of flu?
Holy fuck you might sneeze and even cough or throw up!!??? Its the end of the WORLD!!! Swine flu will kill us all!! Just like in the scary movies!! And its called H1N1... ooooh official sounding, just like in the movies!!! And
ONE THOUSAND people have died!!! Get the vaccine!! it's the end of the wooooooorld!!!
It's been so fucking drummed into our heads, every fucking cold is now assumed ot be swine flu. everytime someone is blowing their nose, the person next to them is thinking "JESUS CHRIST I HOPE SHE DOESNT GIVE ME SWINE FLU!" It's fucking hysterical hype.
Now I know, since you linked to CBS, you probably don't like to read articles, but I would strongly suggest you read the Atlantic article I posted. It will shed some light on to why this shit is getting all hyped up.
The problem with H1N1 is not the mortality rate of those who are infected. The problem is that H1N1 is especially contagious. That raises the absolute mortality rate and seriously taxes our health care infrastructure. It also might start to affect other infrastructures as too many people people and their backup people are out of work.
Those who are being urged to get the vaccine are not those who are at most risk of death, but those who are at most risk of spreading it rapidly, such as kids in school.
Bullshit bullshit bullshit. It's no more contagious than regular flu.
More & more it seems as if people don't know the difference between "prevention" and "elimination". The flu vaccine does its job like it's supposed to. It's not a means to eliminate the virus, but it does aid to better prevention. This arguing over whether or not it's a hoax is ridiculous.
You wanna better your chances of either not getting the virus or at least making the symptoms less severe if you do contract it? Then by all means, get the shot. If you'd rather roll the dice with your health and hope that you don't get sick all for the sake of saving money or because of your excessive need to not trust the government, then don't get it. At the end of the day, it's $25... is it really worth getting all worked up over a procedure with a financial expense that is equivalent to a night at the movies? If the government was as evil as some of you think it is, do you think they'd propose a scheme that would only target you for this measly amount?
Shut the fuck up.We've run out of tinfoil with the birthers. What do we have left to make appropriate head gear?
And how do we know that? How can we possibly know the effects of accumulated vaccinations? How can we possibly know the long term effects and side effects of mass vaccinations and pill popping and antibiotics and pain killers and meth and anti depressants?
This is an astoundingly stupid thing to say. What are you basing your assessments of my opinions on? And why do you think Small pox is anything like piggy flu? One is a deadly, debilitating disease... the other is a flu.
